BACHELOR 22 - Arie Luyendyk Jr General Discussion - **NO SPOILERS** - *SLEUTHING* DISCUSSION

Arie sets up some hay bales for Tia...and some moonshine. How special. She makes him laugh...so clearly not F1. He is getting more attracted to her all the time. Yeah, enough to make out some.

Meanwhile back to Annalise. She thinks he wants the girls to make the first move. She wants to see if there is chemistry. She is walking him around trying to find a hidden corner. She is telling him she is frustrated that he hasn't kissed her yet and he doesn't think they are there yet. A figurative slap in the face ... as one of the Lauren's comes to interrupt. She is now in tears as he is making out with Lauren.

Chelsea seems to be trying to be nice to Annalise...as some woman who I don't know is straddling Arie and making out. Now he is with Caroline? and  Annalise goes and interrupts and puts him on the spot and he tells her he doesn't see a future with her...even though she is an AMAZING person.

He walks her out as she cries in the ITM. She is scared she will not find love. Well if you weren't scared of dogs you could have had love. I'd recommend a cat but she probably has a phobia.

Desperation ensues with the other ladies. We haven't even seen poor Bibs tell him she was the one that set up the romantic matrass on the front drive that he used to make out with everyone. Poor Bibs. Just follow Annalise. You are in the same boat.

BASTIAN is in the episode?!!?!?! Now I may just have to watch! Nice work, Sprite, with the play-by-play. It's now becoming a game to me how long I can go without watching an episode.

RC time. Chopping block time.

He walks her out. She deserves real love but she lost her chance? She is AMAZING. These decisions are hard. She doesn't deserve this. Someone need to give her a break and she is broken...but can't force something that isn't there. Don't worry, you probably kissed enough producer azz made enough of an impression to get your heart broken again on BIP.

Arie comes back whining how this week was so hard, but he is excited because this week was ... wait for it ... wait ... AMAZING ... but next week and the ones after that, things only get better.

Preview for next week. Looks like they start travelling. I thought I heard Tahoe? Make out in our first hot tub in a forest with a mountain background. Apparently SHB finally tells Arie her age and the other ladies are pissed at Krystal. She is playing him like a fiddle. 

End is more doggie horror tales from Annalise. Seriously she must be a walking disaster.

Well, all in all, another sucky episode. Arie is a major disappointment as the lead. I see zero real interest/chemistry with anyone. He can't hold a conversation and he when he talks...unless spouting the canned clichés...he make no sense. Not a stud, more like a dud.

My suggestion ... save yourself the trouble and skip the whole thing.

Still have no clu who he picks.  I like the girl he had date with first last week and Tia ... don’t care for Krystal or Chelsea and Bekah is too hyper ... the rest are nameless faces to me.

@northernviewer, so long! I'll miss you! Still holding out over here. Hopefully, around episode 6-7, I'll have more to say.

It was a bit of a boring episode. I think I dozed during the cocktail party because I missed a lot but didn't care enough to go back and watch. I find this time is boring every season as they highlight the drama and there are too many women to know who they all are.

I didn't particularly like the wrestling date and not sure why the other GD had to be on display also. What happened to the days when they just went to a theme park or sports stadium? This isn't a good way for the lead to get to know the women imo. I kind of feel like the 1 on 1 date was wasted on someone that Arie wasn't interested in at all. He's not that good when he's sending someone home. I hope he gets better as time goes on.

I couldn't believe that Annaliese had yet another "childhood trauma" (using that term loosely). I'm not saying that someone can't be afraid of dogs when they're bitten but it sounded like she was stretching for stories to explain her tears. She lost me after the bumper car tears. Having to ask someone to kiss them should have been a clue that he wasn't interested. I think Arie would have waited until the RC to send her home until she presented him the perfect opportunity by confronting him. She did kind of remind me of Molly Mesnick in looks.

Krystal is so full of herself and her "connection" with Arie. He's clearly attracted to her but doubt that she's his f1 or at least I hope not. Chelsea isn't as much of a villain as I thought she was going to be. Bibiana kind of grew on me after she tore a strip off Krystal but not surprised she was sent home. I like Tia but don't know how far she'll go. Bekah is cute as a button but I'm not feeling it with her. I see their chemistry but not convinced he'll pick her. I think my favorite right now is the other Becca. I hope she goes far. I have no idea on the f4 but would think she's going to be in it.

Just want to comment on Arie as TB. He's not the smoothest guy but I don't think he's a bad Bachelor. I can name a bunch that I didn't like at all and I find Arie extremely likable so I'm happy to watch his season. I don't have high expectations on the final couple but I never do. The odds are against them every season.

@albean99 The bolded is just it. Maybe I'm wrong, but based on his track record, I assume he is a smooth guy in real life and why it's so hard for me to see him acting like any other schmuck on the show. For a guy who is the kissing bandit and certainly seems to have those moves down pat, it makes it even more painful to have to listen to him. He makes no sense half the time. I get that this is all awkward but in his career he is used to being in front of the camera and doing press and handling fans and he has dated plenty in the past, so I expect him to be better at handling women. To me it just seems as if he is trying too hard to appear sincere and he just ends up looking boring, fake and stupid.

Of course, there are plenty of other Bachelors who I didn't care for, but that's part of the problem for me. I liked him the first time on Emily's season and thought he would be more charismatic on his own season and instead, he has turned out to be a major disappointment. I usually don't have expectations of the final couples either and I think this season, I probably have even less. To me he just seems to be going through the motions...even with the ones that he seems interested in...Becca and SHB...and the ones he is just interested in making out with....Chelsea and Krystal.

Even if Arie is smooth irl, which I don’t know if he is, Sprite, I don’t think it’s easy for anyone to date so many women at once and on camera. I don’t get the feeling that he's acting and I do think he’s sincere as far as it goes. Do I think he came on to find a wife? Doubtful but imo most don’t. I do think he wants a serious relationship so you never know. I’m just going to watch without expectations.
