Bachelor In Paradise - Season 4 - Episodes - General Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers* - #3

I was disturbed by how meanly Christen was being treated on last night's show. Scallops? What I feel saying to the women is, you ALL have your quirks. I would put up with scallops long before I would let someone put her hands anywhere near my neck. I thought that Christen was being perfectly reasonable when she asked Matt whether or not he was open to a date. That was on him, so IMO Jasmine needed to take her anger out on Matt.

Regarding Taylor and Derek, if a guy said FU to me, I would be out of there. Done.

I think that Dean is making it rather clear that he is not looking for a serious relationship. He wants fun and companionship. He doesn't want any woman who talks about "us" or otherwise puts any demands on him at all.

Jack Stone seemed normal last night. Robby got a good edit. I can understand why Amanda is gun-shy. My bet is that Wells is probably a good confidant because the cast members seem to be hanging around the bar a lot. I agree with those who say that Raven is auditioning for the Bachelorette.

I can see why Matt walked out of there. Most of those girls are not ready for a relationship. Might explain why none of the guys seem invested in really chasing the girls. Where is the Evan that has to have Carly this year? The fact that groups of them are always hanging around Wells at the bar is telling. In the past, couples were always off alone. This season is very little coupling up and lots of group activities.

They all just wanted a paid vacation on ABC's dime.

Don't many of the women already have boyfriend's outside? So they're just gonna hang out for their sponsored holiday but not pair up with anyone.

I might be the odd one our, but I like Taylor. She is one of the few women who carry on actual conversations. I also loved her standing up to Derek with his FU. So not cool. And I like that she made it an actual issue, she's not fine with language like that, joking or not. She was getting a lot of flack on twitter, and I don't even get why. Derek needs to watch his actions and improve his communication, if he wants to be with Taylor.

I agree with everything you say, Cocoasneeze but, Derek actually won me over with his heartfelt apology and his statement to the effect of - if she isn't going to forgive him then he has no reason to stay. In the company of that many thirsty women, I found that endearing plus, I thought Taylor did an excellent job of making clear that she will not tolerate disrespect like that from him or anyone. I may be wrong but, I think he got it and they are on the same page. JMO

This season...yikes. Matt was smart to leave.

Robby has always given me creeps and I could never get on Amanda train.
Jasmine directed her anger at wrong person. Not a good look.
Alexis has boyfriend and just not interesting to watch.
Dean is playing 2 beautiful women and it makes me feel so bad for Kristina. She lights up when he says something mildly kind. Danielle seems wiser to his ways.
Diggy seems to be one of the sanest of the bunch and needs more airtime. Lacy is delusional, imo
Raven-Adam-Sara...i don't get his appeal. I felt bad for Sara cause she really seemed to like him. Kind of crappy of Raven to pursue him when she really does not seem too interested.
Why is Ben Z not appealing to anyone?? Jack is still a bit off.
Good luck to Taylor and Derek...they seem authentic.
And welcome Daniel! He should provide some badly needed comic relief.
Oh and Wells puppets got to go. Very cringe worthy and excessive.

I agree, he seemed to get it, he really listened to her, and understood. I also like, that he seems to see Taylor as a catch, a wonderful woman, not just a way to stay on this paid holiday longer. The way the women seem to be desperate for any attention from the guys, it's refreshing to see a pretty normal couple, who like each other a lot, and have mutual respect for each other. I also like, that they want to be a team.

I feel bad for Christen. She comments on every photo every bachelor nation posts ever, it seems like she's desperate to be liked and included into the Bachelor 'in' crowd. Jasmine is a horrible person, plain and simple. So is Alexis. They are not funny at all.

Janine is horrible, yes but did Matt ever tell her to back off? No. He went home, proving he was not worth all the drama Christen caused herself by dating him. He's a grown man. He could have managed Jasmine if he wanted to and if he couldn't then Christen needed to steer clear. She set herself up when she clearly had better choices, IMO. You can't have a man who's not in control of his own choices.

Why do they glorify being drunk so much?  II honestly don't find it funny.  Not a good look for the potential future Bachelor imo.

Wells puppet shows weren't funny to me at all. If you have to laugh at your own jokes, doesn't reflect well on your humor. He was so cruel in his imitation of Christen. She looked so pretty when she arrived on the show but disintegrated into a straggly haired crying mess. I don't get why everyone ridiculed her for eating a shrimp while walking, without a plate or anything. Is that a thing?

Alexis had a chance with Jack Stone and blew it in her desire to be edgy. She doubled down by saying, you didn't even try it and looked really tense and withdrawn. If she liked him she threw her chance away. I can see why she's friends with Choky. Love the way Amanda said, Wanna go play Scattegories, in the middle of Robbie's grand gesture at the hot tub, and avoided his kisses. Not buying those two.

RS posted that BIP is taping its live finale this Thursday.
