Bachelor Australia - Season 5 - Matty Johnson - Sleuthing - **NO SPOILERS**

Which reminds me all I watched of episode 3 and 4 is one of the 1on1 dates. Need to find time to watch all of it to see the PIs and the small interactions.

I am late too... for some reason I thought the season started august 14

So what are your thoughts so far? who are the front runners. do you have predictions?

As of the first couple of episodes, I only saw him really into Lisa and somewhat less into Laura. I saw zip for anyone else even though he gave the firefighter the FIR and took Elora on the first date. I don't know if Matty is the kind of guy who takes a while to get into someone or if he just wasn't that into most/any of these women, but I hope to see more interest/chemistry as the plot develops. I remember at the start of sleuthing I skimmed through some of the threads with the early screen caps, but didn't see much from him and lost interest. Hopefully, that changed when he got to know the women and he didn't just end up picking someone for the sake of the show.

Matty said to Usher that he is not the kind to fall in love at first sight but first conversation. In my book, it says that he likes beautiful but if the head is empty, there is no chemistry.

I did not see the best dress contest either...

IMO he never dated a girl like Lisa. She is totally top model material. So he was really hoping that she would be falling for him hard.... and not happening. Lisa needs time to know the guy, need to be friend with and along the way possibly have an emotional connection. But in this speed dating process and because I think Matty is in a hurry to fall in love, she will be too slow for him. His tennis date was a complete disappointment for him. It was written all over his face. He was hoping to hear that she came for him, that she can see potential in the future with him... and instead she told him that he is a nice dude, and "no no no no" she does not see a "together" because "she does not know him"... OUCH major blow here, slap in his face. He wanted romantic. She wanted friendly. Her kiss was just that: not into him at all. Nice dude I could play volleyball on the beach... and at the end of the party... see ya!

IMO, Matty is a very proud guy. He cannot hide his feelings on his face at all. And I am re-thinking Lisa's position right now. I think I recognize her side face in the hot tube though, she has round cheeks. However, it is possible that she pulls out. We see Matty in this very distinguished suit saying: I did not see  it coming. So I think one of the top 4 will pull away and it could be Lisa. It is not top 2 RC as the location he is is not on a beach or romantic or exotic. so can be F4 RC and everything point her direction as she is the only one I do not see falling in love in this process. I think he fell in lust, hopefully thought she was the full package but her tepid reaction pulled him away.

Now, I need to go back with Laura. You seems to think that he is very into her. I am starting to see what you see. They were very playful on the red carpet. He definitely found her beautiful. You said that she looks like Georgia and I do see the resemblance indeed. He loves girls with big bright smiles, this I noticed. I likes playful confident but easy going girls. Laura fit that. They had a great fun time with the drawings and I think she won him over. So yes, I am starting to think that she could be top 2. I think his reaction seen about the kiss was revealing. He blushed, reacted like a teenager, all giddy on his cloud 9. He found her nervous chatty box endearing. Plus Laura has a lot of PI... I was not impressed by the date. Matty did not say much about PI and this is possibly a sign of edits too.

Tara had the first intro and incredibly long. She is wifey material. So I am balancing either next bachelorette or F2 per default since Lisa may leave early. I love Tara. She is witty and funny all around. However, I saw zero chemistry yet with Matty and like Alix, zero conversation.

So right now, I see Laura F1, Tara F2, Lisa pulling out F3 and Elora F4 (because of this door kiss like HTD). That is my take today but of course it will change along the way with the episodes.

I am very very confused about Alix edits. First out of the limo, playful chemistry on red carpet, voice over "Ah Jesus, I am going to fall in love with this guy", many zoom camera on her alone, many PIs... matty said it is easy to have a conversation with her, yet we saw zero of that, she got the GDR in episode 4..... I am really    about the edits here and no signs of her in the teaser too.

Another girl that is under the radar right now is Florence... seen a lot in the teaser.... She has this adrenaline date when most of the time is a F1 sign... does she has also the Parachute or is it Tara?

I would love to see a full season with Tara. She is hilarious and a firecracker. She reminds me physically to DeAnna so much!!!

I think they will go on a camel tour in Australia for Tara SD but not sure where?

most are in central australia but the foliage behind matty and tara does not look desert like, so possibly South australia or Northern territory which are more on the path to thailand imo

Funny but I am not that fond of Laura. I don't know why. SHe looks nice and all but I do not clic with her. My girl would be more Tara but I do not see her F1. even if the prods made sure to show us a long intro video... with friends and kids and saying that after a long draught she wants to make it rain.... they show us how wife material and perfect she is.... on several occation during PI she said: Marry me (he brought muffins).... Prods truly focus on her on PI. She is very entertaining that's for sure.

So either she is very hidden F1 since we did not see yet a SD with her.... or she is next bachelorette...

If we follow the teaser script, she is top 2 and will be heartbroken, lisa will play the brook card and Laura is the true love which will prevails. That is how I read it.

But of course I may be wrong... what do you think???
