Bachelor Australia - Season 5 - Matty Johnson - Episode Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

This conversation is weird 

I am starting to worry about Matty as lead 

He's better than Richie but Sam Wood is the Aussie standard

He just seems like he is saying lines

I think the girls are bringing up the ex because of how Matty reacted on the show last year and what he said in media post-show

Then add in Laura who girl said was like Georgia 2.0 I could see the girls wondering if he is rebounding or truly ready

so other than producer script, it could be that

Leah, Jen and Sian all making fun of Elora for saying her date with Matty was "real". Simone stepped in and told them to back down, and Laura told Elora it was a "really nice way of putting it".

Respect Simone. Those girls are nasty pieces of work. I hope their elimination is brutal

This is the storyboard I can see TPTB going with. And no matter how much Matty says he is moved on etc, TPTB already painted Laura as Georgia 2.0 and if they continue to do so then TPTB will just be making it seem like that Matty hasn't moved on and picking another version of GL.

I'd really like the season to not be about that and the past :/

Perhaps the focus on the ex and past story is further evidence of the move of the Aus Bach to US Bach - alongside the increased/regimented social media presence of the girls? Definitely getting odder though.
