The lead is loved when it's speculated the F1 is a viewers favourite, until they aren't. I'm sure there will be those who feel that Rachel deserves what she gets. Even though it appears she's getting someone who is crazy about her, as she is about him.

IKR! It's crazy to me that some people who call themselves her 'fans' now want her relationship to be over asap and are wishing heartbreak for her just coz she didn't pick their favorite. If Nick had picked Corinne last year, I would totally think he is crazy but never would I wish heartbreak for him just coz I don't like who he picked. I don't even wish that for leads/contestants I don't like. SM has turned this show into such a beast with everyone projecting their feelings onto Rachel IMO. I am not even a huge Rachel fan and yet I feel so terrible and disheartened seeing some of the names she is being called on SM.

TPTB have a way with words. I can see them briefing the family. "The mother said she will kill Rachel if she breaks his heart"

If someone said this to me, for sure I'd be asking about the mother relationship.

IA. Without a doubt, somebody (probably a producer) said something. People are saying Rachel's mom only asked about Olga because Bryan said his mom was the most important woman in his life. But it's clear that Rachel's mom asked repeatedly and that her mom still wasn't satisfied when Rachel interrupted and told them Bryan had already answered the question.

I think that Rachel has done a good solid job as Bachelorette. She is not my most favorite nor my least favorite Bachelorette. I've liked some of the ways that she's handled certain situations, and disliked others. But overall it has been a good effort on her part.

Is Bryan the person whom I would pick? Oh, heck no. I've found him to be IMO too slick, too smarmy, and too smooth right from the get-go. But Bryan does not need to please me, he needs to please Rachel and vice-versa. A lid for every pot. I certainly wish them well (assuming that he is her F1, as evidence certainly seems to indicate.)

Also to reply to HEA, above -- because I am a Peter fan does not mean that I see him as being perfect -- not at all. Again, it's Rachel's call. She evidently wants Bryan. She likes Bryan's approach, and how he's handled things, so good luck to them both.

Yep. I was like "Did he really just say his mom is number one to her potential wife's family?" There's nothing wrong with being close to your mom, but in a marriage your loyalties should lie with your spouse IMO. I don't blame Rachel's mom for needing clarification and Bryan even had to think about it which is when Rachel jumped in.

Rachel's family seems very traditional and I think it's already a stretch for them that Rachel chose to be on a (trashy, let's be real) reality TV show twice! I bet they were cringing every time they see Rachel French kissing Bryan or making out with Peter in the hot tub.

I don't blame them for having their guards up about Bryan if they found out he was also on another show years ago called the Player. Ironically, from reading the sypnosis/recaps for the Player, it seems like a low budget version of the Bachelor series .

Honestly, when he said that his mom was the most important woman in his life, that was more than enough for *me*. I would have grilled him, too, if I were in Rachel's mom's shoes. You just don't say that sitting next to your potential fiancée/wife, IMO. I thought that remark was seriously lacking in common sense.

No worries, ladis! I am sure Bryan has his priorities straight now. He told us via his IG that his loyalty #1 is his woman then family/friends.
I hope he remembers and keeps his own word!

That scene about his mother was spliced and diced. It was clear to me they cut it up.

IA. I know it sounds strange but I'd take Olga over the Lindsays any day. IMO Olga is a little overboard but she just adores her son. I could smooth things over with a few grandkids, let her teach me to prepare a few Colombian dishes, and take her on a few spa days.

I wouldn't know where to start with the Lindsays. I feel like it'd be like a job assessment, results would have to improve every year .

I have no problem with Bryan saying his mom is the most important woman in his life then, because let's be real, she hasn't pick him yet and they are not engaged yet. I don't even think she has told him she loves him. Of course, he should change his priorities once he's engaged/ married. But in that moment in time, I don't see anything wrong with that statement.

I wonder if he really said mom is #1 or was it edited? Rachel getting so flustered on his behalf was hilarious and adorable. Let the man fight his own battles! He's a grownup! So funny.
