I'm sure Jen is totally fine with V making friends. They are adults after all. She wouldn't want her friend sitting at home alone never going out, never making new friends. I wouldn't want that for my friends anyways.

How wonderful @AllAboutLove! I had the opportunity of visiting the prison in Capetown - not as wonderful a privilege as your experience - but nonetheless moving and inspiring to be aware of the dedication to change and betterment some are capable of.

O/T: @notarose truly heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time to be there. Those times were without a doubt the most humbling and inspiring moments of my life. Madiba was someone who was a living testament to the best of humanity. Even though I 'fan' in this thread, it's those like Mandela who are the real role models and heroes of my life, such an incredibly humble and compassionate man that embodied what it means to truly have agape love

I was in RSA because a friend relocated there.  As a side interest she assists locals in the neighbouring black (their term) township with whatever community project they want to initiate. She is my unsung hero

I know here in Canada you use to buy (the old school popsicles) with two sticks in them.  You found by them for 5cents at the variety store.
