I love The Amazing Race!! It was the older couple in last place though - Bill and Cathi. I hope they somehow manage to stay in the race.

Thanks for pointing that out. I have fixed the scoreboard. I guess I had that stupid passport incident in my head and mistakenly typed the wrong names. Glad you found it. Thanks

Week 2 recap TAR
STARTING PIT STOP - Martyr Shrine, Tai Pei, Taiwan
TRAVEL
By Plane to Jakarta Indonesia
By Train to Yogyakarta
ROAD BLOCK
Goa Jamblang Cave - search the cave from a mask and a dagger and take them to a bamboo wall which they will climb and turn them in for their next clue.
Performing this road block are Cindy/Ernie, Marie/Liz, Bill/Cathi, Jeremy/Sandy, Justin/Jennifer, Ethan/Jenna, Bill/Ron, Zac/Laurence, Tommy/Andy and KayLani/Liz
SPEED BUMP FOR BILL/CATHI
They had to unravel a large ball of rope suspended from a tree and stretch it out and tie the other end to a tree. They completed it in time to be 3rd team in the cave.
DETOURShake Your Money Maker or Be a Ticket Taker
Money Maker - Team members had to dress in costume and one member had to dance in the intersection when traffic was stopped at the light while the other get a beat on a drum like instrument to collect donations of 30,000. Teams doing this were - Liz and Marie, Jeremy and Sandy, Amani and Marcus, Ron and Bill, Ethan and Jena, KayLani and Liz. At this detour Ethan and Jena forgot their clue but discovered it as they got in the taxi and quickly went back and found it.
Ticket Taker - Team members had to put on Vests and park motor bikes in a parking lot to raise their funds. Teams doing this were - Bill and Cathi, Ernie and Cindy, Justin and Jennifer, Tommy and Andy, Laurence and Zac.
Both teams had to take their donations to the Aisiyah Orphange and donate them. On the table at the orphanage there was a sign instructing them to also donate all the money they had in their possession. (This was important because only 3 teams ended up reading and following the instructions)
PIT STOP - Kraton Palace
Teams that arrived without donating all their money to the orphanage were sent back to complete that task before checking in.
FIRST TO ARRIVE - Tommy and Andy who were the first team to arrive that had properly completed the task and for winning this leg of the race won a trip to Ireland (Laurence and Zac and LayLani and Liz were the only other teams that properly completed the task)
ELIMINATED
In 10th place - Ethan and Jenna - lost too much time between the lost clue and not reading the sign at the orphanage.
In 11th place - Ron and Bill

Week 3 TAR Recap October 9
STARTING PIT STOP - Kraton Palace
TRAVEL
By Bicycle to Fort Vredeberg (join bicycle group like patrols of 1940's and ride in formation.)
By taxi to Salakmalang Village and find Lesehan restaurant. (Amani and Marcus's taxi got lost.
DETOUR Rice Field or Grass Fed
Rice Field - In Rice Field, teams had to deliver the mid-day meal to a group of hardworking men and women in the rice field. While the workers ate their lunch, teams had to plant 300 rice seedlings. Done by Liz and Marie, KayLani and Lisa and Amani and Marcus.
Grass Fed - In Grass Fed, teams had to properly fill two bags with freshly cut grass, then pick-up two sheep, and bring everything to a shed. There, teams had to collect six buckets of water from a well and pour them into a watering trough. Once teams completed all their chores, the farm manager would hand over the next clue. Done by Andy and Tommy, Laurence and Zac, Ernie and Cindy, Justin and Jennifer, Bill and Cathi, Jeremy and Sandy, (Amani and Marcus started but did not complete) Andy and Tommy had to go back when there bags were not filled enough on their first attempt. Laurence and Zac made a mistake when they used 3 buckets to collect water instead of 2. Amani and Marcus after arriving very late and being told that they would have to go back to refill their bags as they were not full enough abandoned the task and swithched to Rice Field
Both teams then had to take a taxi to Borobudur Temple
ROAD BLOCK - Counting Buddhas
In it, one team member had to walk in a clockwise direction around the 8th Century Buddhist temple and identify Buddha statues with four distinct hand positions. Additionally, teams had to figure out they needed to demonstrate the four hand positions to a judge. When teams had the proper count of each statue, they would receive their next clue
Performing this road block are Cindy/Ernie, Marie/Liz, Bill/Cathi, Jeremy/Sandy, Justin/Jennifer, Laurence, Tommy/Andy KayLani/Lisa and Amani/Marcus
Laurence and Tommy worked together but on their first attempt they hadn't realized that they had to memorize the hand positions as well so had to recount. As Andy & Tommy walked through the entrance gates, they ran into last place Amani & Marcus, who had wisely paid-up and let their slow taxi driver leave. Deciding to help the frazzled looking Amani & Marcus, Tommy gave the married couple the four Buddha statue counts and the corresponding hand positions. Amani repeated the numbers and hand positions back to Tommy appearing to understand. While Ernie, Marie, Justin, and Jeremy all compared guesses, By the time last place Amani & Marcus reached the top of the temple to open the Roadblock clue, an exhausted Amani could not breathe and wanted Marcus to perform the task. As Marcus began to circle the temple, trying to understand what he needed to count, Amani caught her breath and worried if Marcus paid attention to the key pieces of information Tommy told them at the temple entrance. Amani’s hopes were not realized Marcus and Lisa walked around the temple counting together. Only Bill remained solitary; working alone, he came up with the correct number of statues with the correct positions ahead of the other six teams. Opening their next clue, the teams learned they needed to search the temple grounds for the Pit Stop. Before the two teams could search for Phil on the sprawling temple grounds, they had to return to the entrance and settle up with their taxi
PIT STOP - Borobudur Temple
FIRST TO ARRIVE - Laurence and Zac were first to arrive but incurred a 15 min penalty for using the extra bucket to draw water. Tommy and Andy who were second became the first team to arrive that had properly completed the task and for winning this leg of the race won a trip to Dubai
ELIMINATED

Week 5 TAR Recap October 23
STARTING PIT STOP - Floating Soccer Stadium at Koh Panyi Thailand
TRAVEL
By Taxi and then by Elephant up the Khlong Song Phraek River
DETOUR there was no detour this week
ROAD BLOCK - 2 part Roadblock
In this Roadblock, one team member follow the sound of traditional Thai flautist that would lead them to a waterfall. Once there, they had to search the remote pool beneath the waterfall to find their next clue. The clue was contained in a burlap bag which held a ceramic koi fish that they had to smash to get their clue. They had to travel by songthaew to a local shop, disassemble a Thai shrine called a spirit house and deliver all the pieces to the Wat Chanathigaram temple. This part of the task was completed by Andy, Cindy, Marcus, Laurence, Justin, Sandy, Cathi and Marie
Part 2 of the Road Block - the team member who did not perform the first Roadblock had to reassemble the spirit house - exactly as they found it.
Completed by Tommy, Ernie, Amani, Zac, Jennifer, Jeremy, Bill and Liz.
Tommy and Andy each memorized their side of the shrine when they took it apart in case it had to be reassembled. However when it came to reassamble it, Tommy could not remember Andy's side and had to return to the shrine place to memorize the placement of items. Most teams arriving to dissemble the shrine took notes of where items were in case they needed to reassemble except Laurence told Zac that they just need to get it apart as fast as they could so did not memorize which meant that Zac had to go back to take notes later. Jeremy and Sandy borrowed their taxi driver's cell phone and took a picture of the shrine to help them remember the placement. Ernie and Cindy like Laurence and Zac did not memorize the placement of items which caused Ernie to have to go back for details.
Speed Bump
Liz and Marie arrived at the elephant area to find that their speed bump was to clean up after and wash the elephants before their journey aboard the elephant. Picking up shovels, the giddy pair happily scooped elephant remains into buckets, saying, "I love elephants so much!” When it came time to wade into the river and wash the elephant, Liz & Marie again squealed as they said hello to their new pachyderm friend. Grabbing brushes, the twins scrubbed the elephant clean, exclaiming, "This is the best day of my life.
FURTHER TRAVEL
After completing the road block, teams had to pick up a clue and bag of fish food and go to the bus station and get a bus to Bangkok Thailand. After buying the tickets, Laurence & Zac walked to their bus and realized that they would be on a different one than the first three teams. Zac immediately began to question to his father whether being on a first class bus would be an issue. Laurence replied, "No. Not at all.” However, once the pair began their journey to Bangkok, Zac again insisted to Laurence that being on a first class bus could give them a penalty. This time Laurence conceded that his son could be correct, so the father and son got off their bus and began to walk back to the Phuket terminal, Liz & Marie arrived at Phuket terminal and encountered the same steep songthaew cost as the other teams did. After purchasing their bus tickets to Bangkok, the twins ended up having to pay their driver all the remaining money they had. To make matters worse, the bus the twins bought tickets for departed before they could finish paying him. With no more money to buy another set of tickets, the twins appeared out of luck until a station attendant told them the bus stopped and was waiting for them down the street. Getting a quick lift for free from their taxi driver, the grateful (and now penniless) twins boarded their bus and headed to Bangkok In Bangkok the teams had to go to the canal and use their package of fish food to fee the fish. The then got a clue to point them to the Pit Stop
PIT STOP - M.R. Kukrit Heritage Home
FIRST TO ARRIVE - Amani and Marcus were the first to arrive and won a trip to Bali
ELIMINATED
Liz and Marie came in last and were eliminated but were proud that they had honored their father's memory.

FIRST TO ARRIVE - Justin and Jennifer were the first to arrive at the pit stop but they had not paid their truck driver so had to go back and pay hime before checking in. This allowed Andy and Tommy to once more come in first place and win a trip to a private island in the British Virgin Islands.
Bill and Cathi also had to go back to pay their driver before being checked into the pit stop.
ELIMINATED
Amani and Marcus as a result of being the last off the plane to Malawi, having their taxi get stuck in traffic and being delivered to the wrong gate came in last but were relieved when Phil told them that it was a none elimination leg.
ORDER OF FINISH
Tommy and Andy
Justin and Jennifer
Jeremy and Sandy
Laurence and Zac
Ernie and Cindy
Bill and Cathi
Amani and Marcus non elimination

Week 7 TAR Recap November 6th, 2011
STARTING PIT STOP - Kimbali Village Malawi
TRAVEL
By Bus to Salima
SPEED BUMP FOR AMANI AND MARCUS
Amani and Marcus had to complete a slide puzzle that was a picture of the new Malawi flag.
ROAD BLOCK - Taxi - Local Style
In this Roadblock, one team member had to select a customer and take them by bicycle to one of three locations to deliver some fish. Once the fish was delivered they had to return to the head business man to return their fare to him and get their next clue. This task was completed by Andy, Marcus, Jennifer, Cathi, Sandy, Laurence and Cindy. Andy ran into some problems when he broke the pin on the crank of his bike but onlookers helped him find something to use as a pin and install it. Jennifer had the biggest problem when she forgot her clue and as a result after delivering the fish and customer to the destination she did not remember what she was supposed to do next. She waited to see if another team would appear so that she could read their clue. Unfortunately she was the last team member out there so no one came. Finally she decided to pedal back to the village to get her clue. This huge delay ultimately cost them the race.
DETOUR - Dugout or Lugout at Lake Malawi
Dugout
In Dugout the teams had to paddle a dugout in a race out to a boat which contained some drummers then back to the beach. This task was completed by Andy/Tommy, Justin/Jennifer, Bill/Cathi, Jeremy/Sandy, Laurence/Zac. Ernie and Cindy started the task but decided that it was probably a good time to use their express pass. Sandy and Jeremy had problems and were snappy with each other. They admired how Bill and Cathi were able to complete the task so well and in harmony with each other. Laurence and Zac had difficulties (seems they have a lot of problems on water for a team that is supposed to be experienced sailors). Laurence as usual was very critical of Zac.
Lugout.
In this task the team had to unload a ferry and carry 2 boxes of cabbage, 2 bundles of sticks, 2 bundles of straw, 1 chair, 1 fan and 8 passengers to shore. Only Amani and Marcus completed this task. It was an arduous trip to wade through the water with their cargo and at one point while carry the 8 passengers Marcus question "Don't they have any babies on board that I could carry?"
All Teams completing the tasks were given their next clue to go to Jamacia Shop for their next clue. Here they found that there was a double U-turn where 2 teams could U-turn 2 other teams. Ernie and Cindy lost all advantage of using their express pass when they ran around looking for the Jamaica Shop and could not find it. Most teams chose not to U-turn anyone. Laurence and Zac chose to U-turn Amani and Marcus. However, it was a useless U-turn because unbeknownst to them, Amani and Marcus were already ahead of Laurence and Zac. The clue teams received here told them to travel by foot to the pitstop at Sunbird Livingstonian Beach. Because of the time that Cindy and Ernie lost looking for Jamaica Shop, it allowed Andy and Tommy to catch up to them and in the final seconds of a hot foot race to the finish, Andy and Tommy beat them by inches to win their 5th leg of the race.
PIT STOP - Sunbird Livingstonian Beach Malawi
FIRST TO ARRIVE - Andy and Tommy beat Ernie and Cindy by a heated foot race to the finish line and as a result won $7,500 each from Discover card. About Ernie and Cindy they said - "They would not have just let us win so we could not just let them win. A race is a race"
ELIMINATED
Justin and Jennifer could not recover from Jennifer's blunder by not taking her clue at the Road Block and waiting too long to do something about it. Before being eliminated, Just revealed that he and his sister were close and that it was his sister Jennifer that he first revealed that he was gay to.

Week 8 TAR Recap November 13th, 2011
STARTING PIT STOP - Sunbird Livingstone Beach - Malawi
TRAVEL
By Plane to Copenhagen Denmark
By car to Fridriksborg Slot Castle
By car to Frilandmuseet
Teams leaving the pit stop were advised that there was a double U-turn ahead and that there was a flight out to Copenhagen going through Amsterdam but that they could arrange their own flight if they wanted. Zac and Laurence decided to book a flight through London because they felt there would be more connecting flight options there instead of Amsterdamn.
The other teams when in Amsterdam found evening flights to Copenhagen except Amani and Marcus who relaxed for the evening thinking all teams would take the morning flight to Copenhagen - so they were hours behind everyone.
On arriving in Copenhagen, teams had to go to the bell tower for their next clue. Since the bell tower didn't open til morning. All teams except Amani and Marcus lost the advantage of arrival time and were bunched up at the tower. In the tower they had to climb 400 steps and find 2 clues to their next stop. One was a flag that said Borg's slot and the second was a banner on a roof saying Fredricksborg. The teams had to drive to Fredricksborg Slot castle for the Road Block. Jeremy and Sandy only got the first part of the clue and drove to the wrong place before coming back to re check the clue.
What seemed strange to me is that it show people on the roof rolling up the Fredricksborg banner before all the teams had seen it, yet when other teams arrive it was in place. I question if this added to Jeremy and Sandy's problem??
ROAD BLOCK - 3 part Renaissance Dance
In this Roadblock, one team member had to select a partner to train them in a complicated 3 part dance step. Once they had completed the 3 part the dance mistress would give them their next clue. Completing this task was Ernie, Andy, Zac, Sandy, Cathi, and Amani. (Laurence said that Zac played in a rock band so would be able to do the dance in no time...another thing that they should have aced but in fact Zac had the most problem with the dance)
DETOUR - Hop To It or Churn it Out (at Friland Museet)
Hop to It
In Hop To It teams had to build a steeplechase type of race course and then each member chose a bunny on a leash to run and leap over the obstacles without knocking any of them down. (This had to be the cutest detour ever on TAR) Amani and Marcus were the only ones to choose this task. However Bill and Cathi and Zac and Laurence also completed it as part of the double U Turn.
Churn It Out
In this task the team had to churn butter until they had enough to fill up 6 molds and slap them out perfectly on the table.
All Teams completing the tasks were given their next clue to go to Karlstrup Windmill where the Double U Turn was posted. Ernie and Cindy U-turned Bill and Cathi...Ernie was reluctant to do so but Cindy said they made a mistake not u-turing the snowboarders last time and that they needed to make sure that Bill and Cathi could not pass them. Bill and Cathi in turn U-turned Zac and Laurence because they knew they were behind them and wanted to make sure that they gave themselves some extra time.
Teams then had to drive themselves back to Copenhagen to the Havet Ship
PIT STOP - Havet Ship floating hotel, Copenhagen
FIRST TO ARRIVE - Cindy and Ernie arrived first and won a trip to Fiji
ELIMINATED
Both Jeremy and Sandy and Zac and Laurence got lost during their travels but in the end Jeremy and Sandy were able to beat Zac and Laurence so the father and son duo were eliminated.
ORDER OF FINISH

Re: The Amazing Race Scoreboard - no discussion
Weeks 9 and 10 (Double Leg) November 20 and November 27
STARTING PIT STOP
Haveet Ship Floating Resort Copenhagen, Denmark
ROAD BLOCK - Poetry in Motion
The teams had to find the statue of Hans Christian Anderson in Copenhagen and memorize the words at it's base. ("To move, to breathe, to fly, to float, to gain all while you give, to roam the roads of lands remote, to travel is to live.” They then had to ride a bicycle and follow the directions on the map which was on the front wheel to Teatermuseet where they had to recite the words in a theatrical manner to the period drama critic. If they did not do it properly they would have to drive back to the statue and start over. Completing this task - Cindy, Amani, Sandy, Tommy and Cathi Cathi and Tommy got lost cycling through the city. Cathi made an error in one word and both Tommy and Sandy lacked drama so all three had to repeat the task
TASK - All spun out
Teams had to drive to Billund Denmark to the site of Legoland and the Pirates Carousel. The teams had to put a lego puzzle together while spinning on the carousel. The puzzle directed them to go to the Hamburg Train Station in Germany. Sandy and Jeremy lost a piece of their puzzle when it flew out of the ride and had to get and complete a second puzzle.
TRAVEL
On arriving at Hamburg Germany train station teams got a clue telling them to travel to Brussels Belgium through Cologne and find the European Parliament Building. Cindy and Ernie did not realize it but dropped the tickets for the second leg of their trip. When they discovered that their tickets were gone they wanted to buy new ones but did not have enough money so they boarded the train and asked the conductor what they could do. The conductor told them without a receipt that she could do nothing. Arriving at Cologne Cindy and Ernie boarded the train for Brussels and thought about what they would tell the conductor when he came for the tickets however they lucked out when no conductor came to check for the tickets.
TASK - Flex Your Muscles.
On arriving at the European Parliament Buildings in Brussles teams learned that after stripping down and putting on skimpy posing suits, they had to prepare themselves with competition tanning oil. Then, working with a professional bodybuilder, teams would practice the poses they needed to flex in front of a panel of judges who would reward them with a score. If teams earned a score of 12 or more, they would receive their next clue. Amani and Marcus and Jeremy and Sandy nailed their performances on the first try. Ernie and Cindy had to repeat a second time. Andy and Tommy and Bill and Cathi had to do several repeat performances.
PIT STOP - Parc Elizabeth Brussels Belgium
After flexing their muscles the teams received the clue to go to Parc Elizabeth. Armani and Marcus were the first to arrive and won a trip to Panama but were immediately handed a clue to their next leg of the race as the race continued.

Weeks 9 and 10 (Double Leg) November 20 and November 27 continued
STARTING PIT STOP - Parc Elizabeth, Brussels Belgium
Amani and Marcus received their clue to drive to the Ford Proving Ground in Lommel Belgium. Bill and Cathi were the last to arrive at Parc Elizabeth and were expecting to be eliminated but were delighted to find that it was a double leg race.
ROAD BLOCK - Playing with Ponies
In this road block teams had drive an iconic Ford Mustang to reach a speed of 100 miles per hour then brake hard in a designated spot. Next, teams had to navigate a slalom course in 16 seconds or less. Finally, a double victory donut would complete the task. Completing this task were Ernie, Marcus, Tommy, Bill and Jeremy Armani and Marcus got lost on the way to this task. Ernie and Cindy arrived first but Ernie had a lot of difficulty with the task. Andy was very jealous because Tommy got to do this task and talk excitedly about it after but he prayed and felt his jealousy lifted.
Teams next received a clue to drive to the city of Gent and find the Hoofdbrug
DETOUR - Water or Waffles
Water
Water required teams to use assorted materials, build a floatable raft, and search the waterways for two pieces of a clue that would reveal their next destination. Tommy and Andy and Amani and Marcus did this task Bill and Cathi did it also after checking out Waffles and deciding it would be too hard.
Waffle
Waffle required teams to assemble a waffle stand. Then, working together, they had to bake and decorate 18 perfectly formed waffles to the chef’s satisfaction. Cindy and Ernie decided to do this task because they had not been very good at water tasks up to this point. Jeremy and Sandy did this task as well. Jeremy and Sandy had switched the placement of two waffles and almost gave up on the task until the figured out what their error was.
After the Detour teams were instructed to go to at De Muur Van Geraardsbergen. Opening their clue they found it was instructing them to work with a pigeon trainer to release hundreds of homing pigeons. Then, they had to race in their cars to meet up with the pigeons at a specific address to pick up their next clue, which was a tiny photo revealing the location of the Pit Stop at Atomium
Cindy and Ernie saw their early lead evaporate when they got lost and went 30 minutes out of their way. This allowed Andy and Tommy to once again come in first place and win Ford Mustangs that they would be able to fully customize online receive the cars when they returned home. Bill and Cathi arrived last and were eliminated. The program showed it was dark when Bill and Cathi arrived at Atomium however it was not until an interview after the show that we learned that it was so late when they arrived at the pidgeon place that they did not release the pidgeon but just gave them the address to go to to find their clue to the pit stop.
Finish order
Andy and Tommy
Jeremy and Sandy
