Papi chulo is a very common expression here in the Dominican Republic. It's used for men and it would be translated literally as cool daddy.

It would be used in the same context we use Don Juan I'm English: a very good looking man, charming, well dressed, nice personality and even kind of cocky.

The female version of this is mami Chula. Same thing, but for women.

I was super pro Peter & Rachel preseason, but I was underwhelmed by their first date maybe because his personality did not shine through or his attraction to her was not as obvious as I'd like. OR I might just be a sucker for the Bryan's and Jordan's of this world, SMH
