Ben Higgins - Bachelor 20 - Discussion

I'm kind of surprised because Ben is usually more careful about his image. He'd better be careful or he won't be on their list next time they're casting TB.

IMO, Ben's ego probably took a hard hit when he found out Lauren had found happiness with someone else. It doesn't surprise me he has gone for a hookup. Despite what he wants us to perceive him as, Ben isn't any different than every other man in America when a woman flaunts her assets at him. JMO

Lauren was at a music festival, walking, endangering no one. Big difference compared to driving under the influence. Jmo

Ben's on Becca's IG story dancing (tragically) to Big Sean. Just from keeping up with all the SM from this weekend, single Ben is so much more fun than Bachelor/BenLo Ben imo . Maybe if he was like this with Lauren they would've lasted longer . He seems lit af though imo  .

IDK Ben is starting to look (IMO) more and more like he is trying to be something special when he is really something only average. Wells looked kind of cute, Ben looked like he was trying and had one too many.

@ReneeM he seems way more laid back than I remember. It's funny, I would've pegged him as the one privately dating and living his life and Lauren rubbing elbows with Bach nation but nope. JMO

Ben just went up several notches for me. He actually looks like he's being him and not the image he thinks he should be. JMO...But further evidence may change my mind tomorrow.

My opinion of Ben is he needed to explore the world and this is exactly what he is doing! Love seeing him cut loose and be free.

Would someone tell Ben "Arie is pretty popular and quite memorable as the best kisser". Im not sure what's up with his interview saying no one knows who he is. *Rolls Eyes*

Ben's interview with Peter and Dean about Arie was ridiculous. The 3 of them calling Arie a mystery man that they have never heard of was flat out ignorant IMO. All 3 guys are so full of themselves and Ben was actually the worst of the bunch in his lame diatribe and outrage about Arie being chosen over Dean or Peter. I guess the almighty Ben thinks he knows better than TPTB and thats rich coming from another failed Bachelor relationship wise and the big fame chaser in the bunch. IMO he ought to shut his trap and keep the conversation on his favorite subject...patting himself on the back for all his awesomeness.  Ugh with the desperately fame seeking, judgemental, gossipy, hypocrite that is Ben. IMO
Arie is a real man IMO. And Ben is an immature manchild...famous for being a failure on a reality dating show. And being besties with AshleyI.

@Seabear Hi *waves* I love your commentary, but on this one I respectfully disagree.

I didn't take Ben's comments as being high and mighty, I took them as  being diplomatic (given his company). The universe knows, I've found some of Ben's comments problematic in the past, but this situation is par for the course with him.

Diplomatic Ben and saying the right things while not saying the right things, Ben -  this isn't new behavior for him (IMO). He puts on his politician face for the cameras. From my observations this is how he is when he's "on" -

That's why seeing those iHeart concert vids of him dancing was refreshing to me. It's like seeing him in a new, stripped down light. Without the diplomacy and measured responses; the people pleasing.

This is all JMO.

ETA: I finally finished season 20 on Amazon and yeah, I got Ben on the brain. *sings Rihanna's Love on the Brain*
