Auckland local Stephanie is studying to be a lawyer while working as a law clerk. She is unashamedly ambitious, and her many achievements include presenting work, MCing and winning Miss Asia International in 2011. She uses any spare time she has to travel, and has ticked off over 23 countries, but her favourite place is still Maraetai Beach in Auckland.  Her life mottos are “live it up, eat dessert and travel more!”

What did you want to be when you were little?
A marine biologist - so that I could swim with dolphins all day.

What words would your friends use to describe you?
Bubbly, talkative, incredibly loyal, and highly ambitious.

Among them is 24 year-old "rich-kid" Stephanie Lai. In 2015, she revealed she can spend up to $7000 on an outfit - accessories take up most of that figure - such as her $550 Louis Vuitton keychain and $750 Hermes bracelet.

The Miss Asia International 2011 winner/freelance journalist/law student lives in a house her dad bought her and drives a Range Rover her mother gave her.

Despite her wealth Lai enjoys volunteering and will buy homeless people food and post pictures on her Facebook to inspire friends to do the same.

Lai also starred on Three show Reality Trip in which five young Kiwi consumers learn where their cheap, overseas-made goods come from.

"I have a black belt in shopping," Lai admitted on national television.
