Nick has got to be getting too many votes¡ There is no reason for the judges to respond this way unless they are trying to sway the audience differently. I still don't think Heather can do it without Max and his fan base. Simone has everything Heather has with more polish and they are padding Heather. She isn't getting the votes. JMO

I would have like to have seen straight 7s. 4 of a kind would have backed up the "improvement" comments.
IMO the criticism of the judges might have validity however I think the way it is often said is close to condescending.

I agree that A LOT of the reason the judges are acting this way towards Nick and Peta probably has something to do with Nick getting so many votes, but this is ridicules!! The judges look totally biases and mean, MUCH MORE THAN NORMAL!! If Nick wasn't on here I would not be watching this show. I have skipped the last 3 or 4 seasons and it was very sporadic for the year or so before that because of all the ringers and obvious bias.
