Kudos to this particular producer for stepping up and saying something.  I suspect it wasn't an easy decision, as this is the sort of thing that can get you blackballed behind the scenes, but it's nice to see that someone in production finally went "no more" at seeing cast members in a sketchy situation instead of just filming and deciding how to use it for ratings.

Let's be real here, they broadcast the audio of Kaitlyn and Nick having sex. Just because they haven't done that since Kaitlyn doesn't mean they would not. It is all part of their pattern. JMO.

@GuardianAngel I thought the same thing and that they took it that far. It will be interesting how other versions vary. Since it was filmed the truth should come out.

Why didn't they just let Corinne and DeMario go and not "punish" the rest of the cast and fans of the show? Couldn't they have an investigation without stopping production? At this point it sounds like only Corinne, DeMario and a producer were involved.

It's probably a bigger systemic issue. Like production in general let this happen and go to far. Otherwise, yeah, it's just Chad redux when he got DQ'd last summer. Basically in the show's quest to push the envelope and take it one step higher each time, and in their quest to find North America's nuttiest and most famewhore people, they finally went to far.

I think from a legal point of view they wouldn't be allowed to continue filming while an investigation is underway. So it may not even have been TPTB that wanted to suspend/cancel filming, it may have been they had no choice. Considering what TPTB have done in the past I can see it being a case where they weren't allowed to continue rather than them choosing not to.

Hmmm. Just saw the article on People and came here to see what the hell is going on. This sounds like a mess. I'm going to try not to speculate too much because these could be some serious allegations. JMO.

But seems to me that they have access to the tapes and have likely watched them by now. If the tapes showed that nothing serious went on, IMO they could have just released two drunk contestants and kept things moving along. Instead, they shut down production. So....

If the TMZ article is to be believed (not necessarily the Demarius part), then the producer filed a formal complaint with Warner Bros which is different from them suing the show. They had the last word on shutting down filming from the sounds of it. I'm hoping that Fleiss is getting a strip torn off of him.

So basically a producer on a reality dating show was uncomfortable with seeing sexual acts in a pool? Um, remember when Ben and Courtney literally had sex in the ocean?!

yes and no. The skinny dip scene did show them strip down but no frontal nudity was available (or at least not shown but it did look unedited) and they then went into the ocean away from cameras and it was darker.
Whatever went down in the hotel pool could be well lit, contain possible full frontal nudity, and not leave all that much to assumption. It sounds like this is a whole new level of filmed interaction which may/may not have been consential.

This keeps getting more and more disturbing.
