I have been looking closely for it. He wore it on the farm date, too. My thought is he has it on/ will have it on for group dates or on 1-1 dates with Vanessa. This has held true so far. Just puzzled why he was wearing it to pick up Kristina on their one-one.

He knew that he would see Vanessa when he picked up Kristina. Maybe he wanted her to know that he was thinking of her and try to ease her mind while she waited.
