Bachelor 21 - Nick Viall - Media SM Vids - Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers* #4

The possibilities for this announcement are endless IMO. It could be a former couple breakup, a wedding in the franchise, some pregnancy announcement of a former couple, a new spin-off show, blah blah.

IMO It's too early for the Bachelorette announcement but if it turns out to be one, I don't think it'll be Rachel. IA with @lleyki that the Bachelor is a whole new ball game than BIP and the show will not spoil itself IMO. A Bachelorette announcement (if it is one) bodes well for Danielle M's and Kristina's chances though. Their break-ups will be fresh in the minds of the audience and they are both well liked. All JMO.

No one knows for sure. But it's interesting that Rachel is rumoured to appear on Jimmy Kimmel next Monday, around the same time MF's historic announcement is scheduled.

Also Tessa from Andy's season was a WOC and F1. Rachel is just the first black woman, not the first WOC.

Didn't Fleiss used to say his dream was to have a couple get married at ATFR? Maybe it's an announcement for that. Or possibly a live proposal, with N/V just dating until the ATFR? The Rachel possibly being at JK next werk is what's confusing me, because she's the only other contender and if they spoil her exit early, it ruins all suspense for the show, IMO. I have a feeling this "historic" announcement will be lame, but I still want to know!

My feeling is his "historical" announcement will be the Bachelorette Baby photo shoot.

But, that doesn't fit the 'will Nick be dumped at the FRC' storyline. Plus, they have done the 'dating until the ATFR' twice!

I don't even understand how they're doing that storyline, since the first interview did was him saying "I found love!". So stupid. I know that couples dated before ATFR, but I think the show likes to act the older seasons don't matter. They made it seem like Ben saying ILY to two women was a first when it wasn't.

I agree with Kaysha it's probably something as lame as a baby photo shoot or something.

Same! It's Rachel being on JK that's messing with me, because otherwise I'd think MF was being his usual hyperbolic self.

Announcing a live proposal on AFTR would be a little weird though because that would kind of go against the 'will she say yes' theme. Let's say his F1 were to give her answer on AFTR, I feel like her agreeing to be there is a dead giveaway that she would say yes (but maybe that's just me seeing the best in people??). But then again, I know a lot of the audience would still have their doubts, and I think it would make for great water cooler talk. And also, the staunch anti-Nick people would tune in just to see the F1 say 'no'. It's a great marketing ploy, for sure. But it sounds kind of cruel and a bit tacky if I'm being honest.
