Re: Nick Viall - Bachelor 21 - Episode 3 Jan 16th - *Sleuthing Spoilers*
I don't understand why anyone cares about Corinne taking her top off on a group date in which another woman is already topless. IMO the scenario is determines what is appropriate, and the photographer even thought she did the best job with the task at hand. To me, she had the best energy and a lot of the other women seemed to lack confidence, which made the other photo shoots awkward. I could take or leave the boob grab and having her brag about it afterward, but I don't find it scandalous and even think it made sense for that group date. Why again should she worry about the other women on the date?
I think what we will see more of, however, if the whipped cream incident or her sneaking to his room end up happening, is Corinne becoming increasingly inappropriate. Topless during a photo shoot? Just watch America's Next Top Model or look at any ad campaign.
Randomly decorating yourself with whipped cream? Casually suggesting sex at a weird moment? Not so much. I don't think Nick will have any issue distinguishing between what's good timing or not. I think he finds her attractive and appreciates her boldness at least so far, but obviously does not find her irresistable.

AB whip cream- a lot of that preview is left to the imagination. I imagine Corrine showing him the whip cream, Nick saying "I don't think this is a good idea" then Corrine takes some and smears it on Nicks lips. The lean we see is Nick trying to get his hand up to his lip faster to wipe off said cream. But that is my imagination and I may be proven wrong come tomorrow's episode
Need to do something productive and stop hanging out in this forum (after Nick's season)

I think there are several differences for me. The first is that the other topless woman was asked to be that way from the start and her goodies were strategically covered so nothing showed. Almost like a one piece. She also didn't throw it in the others faces. Corinne wasn't asked. In fact, the only reason she took her top off was because she was jealous that she might be upstaged. Second, she not only took everything off, she deliberately flashed everyone, shoved herself against Nick and then put his hands on her boobs. Yes, you see this in ads and ANTM, but this isn't that and nobody asked her to do that.
Personally, I didn't think she had the best energy. I thought Alexis and Vanessa had just as good energy, without making anyone else feel uncomfortable and bringing down the energy of the whole thing. Naturally, we weren't shown as much time with them because they weren't naked.
I also don't think the photographer picked Corinne. I strongly suspect it was the producers since she was outrageous and ticked off the other women and caused unnecessary drama. The rest of her shtick is the same....drunk nudged by producers to create more drama and get her azz to BIP. Not really funny or amusing or all in good fun. More like tacky and boring....and that is not because I am offended by nudity...just not a fan of anything forced.

I agree Sprite ....Corinne going topless, plus her actions, made her raunchy and sleezy.....shes in a league of her own....cant compare that to the Eve look which was way more classy.

Re: Nick Viall - Bachelor 21 - Episode 3 Jan 16th - *Sleuthing Spoilers*
I do think Alexis also had good energy, but it was "funny" rather than sexual. I am not going to say that sexual energy is best for everything, but compared to some of the girls who seemed embarassed to touch Nick or pose with him, Corinne was an improvement.
I am not sure I could call the Eve look "classy," especially on a show like this, but I do remember being disappointed by Brittany's lack of confidence. (I had to look up her name, if that tells you how boring her part was.) Thankfully, she wasn't traumatized or crying, but it seemed really apparent that she wanted to hurry up and get it over with. What is the point of that?
I am not suggesting Corinne's strategy is good. She will make herself look increasingly absurd, as her behavior is based on really strange ideas about sexuality, but in that moment what she did seemed fine to me. I guess I am defending her somewhat and in doing that defending Nick. I don't think his keeping her around is producer-driven entirely at this point and I think he had at least some interest in her or chemistry. I also want to note that I think his explanation for keeping her around to stir the pot and see how the other women would react sounds like it could be partially true but I suspect it is also part back-pedaling due to backlash.
Either way, I think it is obvious there can be no relationship between Nick and Corinne, but he does not seem to have a relationship with anyone yet anyway.

See, that's what I don't get. There's no way Nick would know their reactions until after filming is done and shown on TV. So, him saying he gets to see how they react behind his back makes zero sense to me. The producers purposely don't let the women talk to Nick after the rose is given out until perhaps the pre-rose ceremony.
Corrine bores me. I don't find anything interesting about her, so for the show and Nick to act like there is just annoys me at this point.

mindless wrote:After watching that preview, I think the whole whipped cream thing is even less of a deal that the boob holding. The cream is barely on her breast, more like décolletage. This is the Bachelor we're talking, where polygamy is the norm, making out on camera is a must and half naked photoshoots are an annual event. Licking a bit of cream off someone's skin is frankly whatever to me. I'm not sure how people are expecting Nick to react, considering he's hardly a prude or above sexual behaviour on camera. I don't think he's ever had a woman go after him quite this aggressively and he probably doesn't even know how to best handle it, so he's just being nice and going along with her requests until she sneaks into his room and tries to have sex with him, which is where he draws the line and refuses. I must just be really jaded, since I don't see anything scandalous about his actions so far. I would be more surprised if he made a big deal of something so tame (IMO) and told her to go put her clothes on. I just can't picture Nick doing that. JMO.

I guess I just don't take this show very seriously, at least anymore. Even going on this show is beyond my comprehension, so I can't really use the same standards for these people than I do for myself, that's just setting myself up for disappointment. Nick's not the one initiating these tacky incidents, Corinne (and the producers) are. Nick's just reacting to them in the way he sees fit in that moment in time and I just see him as being nice. If she's already topless or covered in whipped cream, Nick refusing to touch her will just make her seem even more pathetic. Not saying Nick got no pleasure out of those incidents, I'm not in his head, so I wouldn't know, but he didn't initiate them. That's why I don't consider those actions sleazy so to speak. JMO.
Maybe I am just used to this show since I don't take any of the villain/drama/scripted stuff seriously and I honestly didn't blink an eye and like you was like "whatever". Nick never initiated any of it and any comparisons to Ben F or Bob IMO I can't even understand. Those guys were like octopuses and initiating the leering and stuff. Nick on the other hand looks like he is very uncomfortable and it is the women, especially Corinne, who are super aggressive towards to Nick. Add in that Nick is the guy who got tons of backlash regarding Andi AFTR, there is no way IMO that if Nick even said anything to Corinne or rebuffed her that it would not be taken even worse, IMO. He is doomed if he does and doomed if he doesn't...so me Nick just let the girls be themselves and they're MOT anyway from what's been sleuthed so I don't see the big deal at all especially since only 2 episodes have been done. I am looking forward to the next episode!

Re: Nick Viall - Bachelor 21 - Episode 3 Jan 16th - *Sleuthing Spoilers*
Unfortunately, we haven't been shown 95% of the conversations with the other girls. IMO, there's no way Vanessa shows up with that greeting on her 1-1 if they haven't been connecting at some point. If that applies with her, I'm sure Nick is spending quality time we don't see with all others(as much as time will allow). With that in mind, I can see Nick testing the waters in how they handle things that don't go their way. if Nick was taken back at Corrine's actions, (IMO) there's no way he didn't know the girls weren't pondering their own emotional reactions. It may not be the way other leads would have handled it or I would have handled it, but I can see his curiosity getting the best of him. That and a very big push from TPTB.atem wrote:Pandora wrote:I do think Alexis also had good energy, but it was "funny" rather than sexual. So, will there be another 'to be continued' since they did it already? I haven't watched other seasons to see how it affected the other episodes.
So that means the whipped cream part happens at the beginning of the episode?
I also don't think Corrine misses the Rose Ceremony. It seems she does take a nap when the cocktail party is going on and Jasmine is asking where she is.
