Actually 21 completed seasons of TB, 12 completed seasons of the 'ette.

2 female
% wise, more females

Life is not always fair. That's a fact and can't be changed.
There is good and bad and hopefully you get more of one and less of the other.
MF etc. produce the show the way they want it. It's their game. Their rules. Their concession stands etc.
If it's not fair, it is the way it is. People don't have to watch. The show has made some minor adjustments through the years, but IMO not a heck of a lot. In productions eyes if it's not broken, why fix it.

Kaitlyn or any other cast can bark like a dog, but IMO his dogs will bark louder and longer.

The way I see it Is 1 came from the Bachelorette (Trista 12 years ago) and the rest The Bachelor. I imagine Fleiss prefers they come from the 'main' show.

To be fair, Melissa wasn't a Bachelorette, just a Bachelor contestant. But I do believe it's the DWTS producers who make the final call in casting, so it's not necessarily up to the Bachelor bosses. I have no doubt that there are plenty of young women on offer to choose from, so they probably don't have much need for a Bachelorette. Young men not so much, plus the majority of viewers are surely women, so casting a Bachelor "hunk" to parade around shirtless makes sense. Not saying MF couldn't have pulled the rug under Kaitlyn just for the hell of it, but if he did, I can't really blame him. She's so annoying and entitled I wouldn't want to give her anything she wants either. JMO.

In any case, the saying "Do you want to be right or do you want to be happy?" comes to mind. Even if Kaitlyn thinks she has every reason to complain, it's obviously not doing her any favours to do so. The more she whines over every real or imagined slight and tries to take on the big boss, the less she's gonna get, so I haven't got a clue what she thinks she'll accomplish. She needs to stop thinking she's some big star and VIP and just enjoy the many crumbs she's been thrown. JMO.

I think Kaitlyn is rightly pissed, because she DID have a contract and it was taken from her.

According to her. It was probably some preliminary thing, maybe even before she spoiled her own season, since after the season she was acting like no one had even approached her. JMO.

IMO, Kaitlyn is too polarizing. I don't even think DWTS would even want her azz. She would probably throw them under the bus too. Plus I doubt she would like the scores Len would give her. Right now she's just showing everyone in this biz that she can't be trusted. JMO

I think both things can be true...MF is a sexist who isn't giving female leads opportunities for DWTS, and Kaitlyn is an obnoxious/entitled whiner who deserves what she gets. They aren't mutually exclusive, IMO.

Kaitlyn isn't the best messenger for this because she is aggressively entitled and obnoxious, and because everything everyone has already said. I understand his inclination to punish her, it's well deserved IMO.

But that doesn't mean MF isn't a misogynist who doesn't give female leads as many 'star' opportunities post show. IMO, the female leads that have 'made it' post show have done so on their own - Andi's book, Ally with hosting/etc, Jilly with her shows. The male leads that have 'made it' have done so with franchise opportunities - DWTS, hosting after show, Happily Ever After.

Melissa wasn't even originally going to be on DWTS. She filled in for Nancy Odell last minute. She had like two days to rehearse for the premiere. So even then, only Trista was a woman from The Bachelor/ETTE world to be specifically cast on DWTS. But then again, that was DWTS' first season when she was on, so I think they would've casted essentially anyone IMO.
