I didn't believe this was the case when they announced it but now, I definitely think it was part of the reason - not Corinne but Raven IMO. It was probably the edit but the general audience IMO resonated with Raven more inspite of her 'what-was-she-thinking' statements. That sentiment is only going to grow tomorrow after she is let go at F2 heartbroken. I think TPTB realized that and didn't want to be strong-armed by fans into choosing Raven when they already have their storyboard with Rachel in mind.

I had thought they were announcing her early to promote her and get better, well-suited candidates for her. But after they gave her less than 10 mins on the WTA, I have given up on that theory. They are not making any additional effort in promoting her season IMO. Why even announce her early then? Hopefully, they are doing better with casting and it isn't like the 'extra effort' they took while casting for Nick.

They are not doing anything more, imo for Rachel than any other lead. IMO they are fulfilling having a minority lead. Check that one off their list.
TPTB spoiled their own season and put her name out there IMO to bolster her following. I guess they felt she needed to do the bolstering vs. them.

Tpbp are too busy patting themselves on the backs for being so progressive for having their first WOC lead to actually promote her.

IMO they didn't want another Caila situation, this time with WOC, so IMO that was the reason for the early announcement. I personally for the life of me don't get what makes Corinne so popular, but she's rich, spoiled, entitled and bratty, so the ig generation seems to love her. JMO.
