Ben Higgins - Lauren Bushnell - Bachelor 20 - Discussion - #4

Honestly there's never been a bigger fall from grace than Ben in this franchise for me. I went from really liking him to being indifferent to thinking he's an annoying whiny little b*tch. His constant need for validation and attaboys is so cringe to me. I'm also really confused as to what Lauren gets out of this relationship because Ben's not looking for a wife, he wants another Mama IMO. Honestly props to Lauren because I couldn't do it.

@KB_Mom I think this syndrome happens to quite a few of the leads after their season is over. IMO, it's like they have been numero uno for a year and then if they do DWTS or another reality tv show that 15 minutes is extended.
So now they are out of the limelight and that high. What do they or can they do to duplicate it? It's like a huge let down for some and aimlessness. They don't know what to do with themselves to maintain that me high they were on.

They were kinda awkward in the update tonight. I'd have to watch it again to figure out why, but something was just a little off.

They didn't say a whole heck of a lot. They seemed more up beat when talking about Nick. The only thing they really said about themselves was when Lauren said their next step might be them getting a dog in the future.

Yeah, I remember that. I also rememeber the key words having to do with: wedding and baby, but I don't even remember what they said in regards to that!

All I remember was that they might get a dog. And something about being asked about when is the wedding and then that will turn into when are the babies coming. I was too busy watching football to remember exactly. Lol

It was phrased by Lauren that the million dollar question is when they're getting married or having babies. That was the only mention of a wedding and she didn't add anything else after that and neither did Ben. Their two minutes was more so about Nick and they showed a couple of clips from their silly show.

To me, what I came away with is, they are together and floating along. They gave no concrete answers to anything as far as wedding etc and imo, probably because its' not something they have sketched out yet.

I also kind of feel like Lauren's "million dollar question" comment was because it's a potentially sore/tired subject after HEA. Which is totally their own fault. But I got the impression they're just trying to get back to normal and stressing about a wedding is not on their to-do list. Hopefully these two can find their equilibrium.
