Jasmine Lorimer - Kevin Wendt - Bachelorette Canada Season 1 - Discussion

General discussion for Jasmine and Kevin.

I personally do not think they will last but good luck to them

Watching Jasmine on the ATFR made me change my opinion of her. Her attitude toward both guys came across as self involved. There is honesty and there is hurtfulness. Add the bailing on the post season media as the Lead and it is a major disappointment. Jasmine was paid to be the Bachelorette and I assume media obligations were part of her contract. I imagine Kevin was not happy with his edit but that does not merit no post season press IMO. I am amazed that TPTB Canada allowed Jasmine and Kevin to just cancel all media. Amazed.
Whether Jasmine and Kevin make it longterm....doubtful IMO but I don't know and don't care. Where there is smoke there is fire.

I could have written this! Agree with all of it! I am so disappointed in her. Cant be good for the franchise considering its the first season of the bachelorette. What she did to both Kevin and Mikhel during ATFR left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I also find it really disappointing that Mikhel now is the one having to save the situation because of the other two bailing. As if it not was bad enough not getting the closure that he needed. Luckily he seems fine though. I wanted J and M to be together but I am starting to change my mind because of her behavior now.

I guess they are really disappointed in they way everything has been edited (I guess also ATFR that might not have been as negative as it seemed) and maybe thats the reason they didn't want anymore interviews but they easily could have posted one single photo of them saying they want to focus on each other and chooses to stay away fro social media. They could have saved themselves a lot of trouble that way, and also Mikhel.

I find it really surprising that she also never posted a thank you for all the support this season, after ATFR. It wasn't all bad…

IMO - took Jasmine the season to build up a solid reputation as a great Bachette. Then poof! In a situation where silence isn't 'golden', her non-actions now risk her confusing the viewing audience and likely lead them to question the perceptions they had formed of her during the season.

As an eternal optimist, here's hoping that there's a silver lining somewhere soon!

I completely agree with you @Seabear the reputation to them as a couple and Jasmine as the bachelorette may have been irreparably damaged IMO and if they are just taking a break because of SM backlash, they both have terribly thin skins and they better get used to it, as they have in fact made it worse IMO.

Just wondering if perhaps she likes men being jealous and the reactions they have. It would seem plausible seeing her relationship with Mikhel seemed to soar as she said in the last week, ironically after he became jealous of the thought of Kevin and her together in the fantasy suite.

I think she may have thrown Mikhel under the bus at the ATFR to get a reaction from Kevin IMO. She perhaps should have sorted herself out before embarking on this "journey" to ensure she really knew what she wanted in a relationship. Everything in hindsight I suppose.

Also to add.. Emily and Brad 2.0 did not do the rounds of media either. But they had Chantel do them (F2)

Dr Travis Stork also did no media rounds. No ATFR either. One statement saying it was over.

I liked Jasmine being honest all season so am not going to stop now. It may not have been what people (or Kevin) wanted to hear, but it's obviously what she's feeling. I don't get why not do the interviews either unless it's because they're very close to breaking up. It seems to be a very bad sign when the couple doesn't do the media tour post-show imo. I'm expecting that all 3 involved will go their separate ways. It's a shame if this season ends this way because I really did enjoy watching.
