Aunties_Love wrote:OK, thanks GA. I am wondering if they'd follow that up with filming the Bette in the fall?? I just really wonder if they'd do it in the Okanagan for some part anyways due to the temps, availability of flying to different locales from there as well as they could be in several types of private mansions with beachfront access and boat ramps. I can lay my hands on several if needed since I grew up in the Okanagan....do know where they could be doing some of it.
As much as I want to see Mike as the next lead and think there is a good chance that he might be, I think they will probably stick to filming one show a year. The US Bachelor/ette and BIP, pretty much run throughout the rest of the year and the only time they don't is in the fall....when the Canadian show airs. I wonder if that is in the contract as the US and Canada can watch each others shows and it might decrease the ratings if both air at the same time?

About ratings, the USA can't watch the Canadian one without downloading it so maybe ratings won't be as affected as one might think.... Just really wonder though if there is enough of a market for Bach or Ette Canada on in the summer against the other US franchise be it Bette, BIP or what ever. It will be interesting though if some of the okanagan can be used as well as some of the Rockies that hasn't been touched yet by the franchise. There are a lot of private villas/resorts/chalets that can be used in the summer for privacy in filming.Sprite wrote:Aunties_Love wrote:OK, thanks GA. Baseball Mom wrote:@Aunties_Love, @GuardianAngel, @Joy15.....Thank you so much for keeping this thread alive. I was watching last night and couldn't help but feel for Mike. We know he is alright but maybe watching things back and seeing Jasmine again has made him feel a little melancholy coz he looked very serious at the MTA. From what he said to Noah, he seems to have realized that his biggest difficulty was being able to identify that the emotion he was feeling was love. Would love to be able to watch him finally let go of his fears and allow himself to fall in love. I selfishly want him to be the next Bachelor!
yep..i felt all the feels too...he looks like having glassy eyes throughout the sit down: when he watched his flash back, talked about him not recognizing that he was in love and when he talked with Jas. I always feel sorry and has some empathy for NON-TURBO contestants (my loose term of contestants who had difficulties adjusting their own emotional pace to this full speed- full steroid dating show ): Graham Bunn, Becca, and now Mike as the prime example. Thats why i am concern if he is indeed to be the next Bachie, since the Canadian show required a Proposal....a requirement that doesnt have to be faced by Sam Wood and Tim Robards of Aussie, who IMO possessed similar personality attributes as Mike. Either way...finding love on or off show..i wish him the best.

@Maddy thank you so much for all the pics and gifs

I him. Actually I loved his dad just as much . Hoping great things for Mike after this. If ever there was a time to do a follow up Canadian season with a recycled lead this is it . Come on Canada and let's have a Bachelor Mike.

@relaxing I agree. I really like him, he's a sweet sincere kinda guy. His Dad was the best.
I want to see Mike fall head over heels with someone!

The love for Mike and his dad kind of reminds me of Chris L from Ali's season and his dad. Both really solid guys with goofy senses of humour and great dads. Hoping things turn out as well for Mike as they did for Chris!

@Sprite I totally agree. Actually I was going to say that in my post as well. Who knows, maybe we'll have a thread for Mike and ? and in four years we'll be waiting for the arrival of a baby, like we are doing now for ChrisL and Peyton.
(Pretty scary we've been around all these years, watching contestants get married and having families!!!)
