I don't know, the whole "is it because we're both from Melbourne" thing is a bit of a beat up to give some doubt for Lee, because a lot of the Jake date is now about his family not wanting him to leave the Gold Coast. IMO she's going to use Jake's family not wanting him to move to Melbourne as an excuse to send him home, especially as his mum isn't well also.

haha true. But maybe he means she won't be emotionally moved by it and will kinda friend zone or reply awkwardly? That's always a genuine fear I reckon
