Ben and Lauren Happily Ever After - Discussion - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

The show felt very scripted to me, clearly low budget production we're dealing with here. The way they put everything together didn't even make sense. So there's that. 

I think they've opened their relationship up to criticism again and they get what they get, Lauren especially as people never seem to give Ben the hard time. 

I'm interested to see their struggles. That's real to me. All these couples post the smiley happy moments. And I think this shows there is so much more going on behind the scenes that couples work through.  I think one thing most people here don't question is the love Ben and Lauren have for each other. I'm interested to see, knowing that love clearly exists, how the struggles play out. And it's clear they will play up the drama, giving value to the question mark at the end of the title, but ultimately it will all end in a televised winter wedding. 

All in all, not the best show, not the worst. I'll keep watching because I like these two. And in their genuine moments, they had me smiling.

I commend her for that, since I think Ben should be called out, and I'm glad she's not turning a blind eye to his faults just because they're engaged. I don't really blame her for feeling some resentment towards him, since he's apparently still refusing to apologise. He just sounds really unempathetic saying he's not sorry because it led him to Lauren. I mean, ffs Ben, it's not about you! Regardless of where you ended up, you hurt two women, one of which is your fiancée. And you obviously would've ended up with her with or without telling the other woman ILY. He's just so scared of admitting any wrongdoing that he's explained it all away to himself. Shows his immaturity.

I do believe that many reality show participants are paid to promote the show on SM and that can include giving attention to both the negative and positive comments on SM. I think this in my opinion is SM based on the timeline and story line of the show (and when it was filmed) and not necessarily what they are thinking or feeling now. Things may also be taken out of context.

They are paid to create some drama and controversy and definitely at least some of it felt scripted to me. I do not believe that they had a choice in whether to go to the Bachelorette AFTR or out to lunch with JoJo and Jordan in my opinion -- not while being under contract for this show. That felt very fake to me to even be having those conversations. I did like the show and will like it even better when they can focus more on themselves and their relationship.

The show was okay. Lauren did not come off looking so good, according to social media. I saw way more people that were dissappinted with the show than enjoying it. I thought it was good-ish for the most part. Lauren looked beautiful throughout and Ben was still Ben. I wanna see what Lauren and Ben's tears are about though! And the "fight" by the bushes does NOT look staged at all IMO. JoJo's use of "Benjamin" always makes me chuckle.

What was the reaction like..? Will the ratings come out tommorow?

Not planned to watch because I'm the biggest non fan of Lauren B , just read here to snark.

The major confuse I now have is, Lauren was highly praised by the public during ATFR, said how she was graceful and understanding about Ben having feelings for JoJo, and how Ben is so lucky to have someone as perfect as her.

Now, it seems the truth is, Lauren has never gotten over the ILYs. But then people said she has all the right to be mad at Ben because this was a mess he created.

I mean, Lauren B, at one point you were the forgiving angel, next point you were the victim of the 2 ILYs. So which image you want to present to the public? Just be consistent!!

The JoJo thing seemed over exaggerated for a storyline to me, and they seemed liked they were acting out lines. I liked the show because I like them. A part of me kept thinking, Lauren, Ben picked you JoJos the one he dumped. But then, I don't think she's as worried and it's prob mostly scripted. Some parts were funny though. A little boring .

I hope they make it for the long haul, but I just always think about the couple reality show curse ala Newlyweds . And they must have gotten paid a lot because Ben looks pained to be on camera. He seems so not the type it's weird that he's done so much of it. The way he acts on snapchat always mad. I do like them so I'll keep watching. They seemed awkward and nervous not at all comfortable for the cameras, hopefully it gets better.

I opted not to watch this. Had an idea it might be highly scripted. I suppose they will be the next couple to end up on MBC. JMHO.

Hold your horses, friend. First we gotta shill this show, then we gotta shill the wedding, then we gotta shill a round of media that announces we're so done with all this stuff and just going to go spread our kindness in CO peacefully, then we gotta shill the sugar hair fit box (or whatever), then we gotta do MBC. Long way to go. Imo.

One episode and I'm seriously over the twins. Unfortunately, with the way TPTB is editing the show, they'll probably be on every episode. After sleeping on it, the show was actually pretty bad overall. NOTHING seems real. The storylines, the talk, the actions, everything. It all seems as if the producers told them what they'd need to say/do, or at least gave them an idea, and then they'd say/do it, but since Lauren and Ben are such terrible actors, it all comes off unnatural. This show was an awful idea. They can only go down from here, and in the eyes of Twitter, they already are.

ALL JMO.

For some reason I'm getting some strange satisfaction outta the backlash they are receiving. It makes me chuckle.
