Ben and Lauren Happily Ever After - Discussion - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

Yep. IMO nothing Lauren said was unreasonable. She was reserved about going to AFTR, insecure that Ben might get caught up in a moment and she was scared. IMO it's understandable. She was scared of her own feelings surfasing, which were not fun for her. And to have lunch with JoJo and Jordan, i get that, how it would be awkward. Especially when Ben just agreed to it without talking to Lauren.

She uprooted her life to move to Denver, and wished to fix his house up, so it would feel like their home. She wanted to change te toilet and head board for his bed. Oh and the sofa. IMO it was very reasonable.

The only moments I raised my eye brows were when Ben just agreed to the lunch, and his being upset with Lauren at AFTR, sge wasn't cheering him on enough.

I know I'm alone in my opinion, but neither came across badly IMO, but if someone did, then it was more Ben than Lauren. Jmo

I haven't watched it and don't plan on it.
I think it's simply a way for the franchise to bridge a popular couple from one season to their wedding and drum up extra franchise talk with a couple that is very popular. It can't be any worse than half of the other dreck out there. IMO. Maybe it is.

This is exactly I am thinking too . It is just funny that fleiss thinks this is good . Show more of these two post bachelor life , good or bad sides of them , scripted or not . Enough of putting a lot of bip alumni on their show. Jmo

It's a pretty terrible show and I don't plan on watching again. Did I see more staged fights in the season preview? I was initially excited for it as I thought it would be cutesy couple planning their wedding show but eventually saw the writing on the wall with all the other contestants showing up. Unfortunately it's just more Mike Fleiss awfulness. Still love Ben and Lauren though.

The whole agreeing to the lunch scene was VERY obviously staged and fake IMO. I mean, the band coming in conveniently when he's on the phone, JoJo having his number (more like JoJo used a producers phone), and the obvious acting from Ben. It was all a setup IMO.

To quote both of you, I agree.

And it's not any worse than the bachelor, no. But there's a lot more obvious acting, especially from Ben IMO. It reminds me of Kevin Jonas and his wife's old show on E! IMO.

They need drama to make a show . Aka reality show jmo.

I think they could a made a tasteful show that was strictly about their life in Denver and wedding preparations. It would have entertained me more than this. The episodes don't need to fill up a whole hour either. The more time they have, the more they need to manufacture drama.

^ Well at least it's only 8 episodes, and not 10 like what was originally thought! IMO.

I know. But these scripted scenes are what Lauren gets called out for too..

I think there was a lot of cute BenLo in midst the silly, and tgey were adorable. Imo.

Oh I agree! Totally staged with the mariachi band. Plus JoJo's "Benjamin!" reminded me of her over the top acting on her season (JMO).

I'm sure their lunch date next week, they were all coached on what to talk about. Some reality shows even use ear buds! Is it bothersome to think scenes are set up? Yea of course! But that's nothing new about how reality shows are made. This isn't the first reality show where scenes are recreated or set up for storyline purposes. On The Bach/ette, rose ceremonies take hours on end. There's take after take after take until they get what they want, and then they edit it to however they want. At the beginning they left out Ben's "we had all morning to talk about this" and then when they replayed it at the end he said "You're now just telling me this, we had all morning to talk about this." I never put this show above any other reality show in regards to how storylines were going to be exagerated, scenes were going to be recreated, and conversations were going to be pushed in the directions the producers want. I personally look forward to the candid moments where their chemistry comes through. The scene by the lake to me was very real because Ben had those eyes he's always had for Lauren. IMO. To get the real life story, I think the best bet is to watch your favorite couple's snapchat story.
