I kind of like that the pressure for couples to marry by the 1 year mark is slowly fading.

Yeah, IMO it's completely unrealistic to expect a couple that met on a reality television show to have a wedding planned nine months into engagement/dating in the real world.

These two have never really wavered in what they've said in interviews since the beginning. They would like to have it at some point in 2017, but they're doing what's best for them and enjoying their life in Dallas. These two are fortunate enough that funds for a wedding aren't really an issue. Her brother Matt and his fiancée Mallory are getting married this weekend on an island and they planned it in less than a year. JoJo and Jordan could decide in the late summer/early fall that they're ready and they could have a wedding on an island a few months later

Yeah Richard Branson's island. So causal.

I feel like they stay away from the media and avoid "we are getting married tomorrow!!!!!" broadcasts. So in turn, the media kind of ignores them and doesn't put a lot of pressure on them to follow through with the wedding. Which was/is smart of them. Also Jo/Jo had two "successful" couples before them which I also think absorbs some of that media pressure/heat for them. Jordan also had so much shade and shoddy editing that I don't think mainstream felt like they were actually a viable pair and would be so successful. And that also works in their favor, imo.

I think the biggest part is that they simply stay out of the spotlight, do their own thing and have moved on from the franchise pretty much. They don't ever really attend events (except JoJo did the past few days) where they would be interviewed and questioned about anything.

The more normal of a life you live the less people can dig into your personal life. JMO

While JoJo and Jordan have been consistent since they got engaged about getting married "some time in 2017", I noticed a slight change from JoJo's interview with the Galentines. She did not stick to the 2017, but said we're taking it slow. I don't think that is a bad sign or that they are any less inclined to get married, I just think it's a smart response and a response from a couple who would rather take time to enjoy each other before getting absorbed in wedding planning. All IMO.

IA, they don't need the show to feed them and they're not too fameho-ey from their choices IMO, and that combination of those two things is what works in their favor IMO.

They are just one of the most, if not the most classy couples to come out of the franchise, period, IMO.

Although smart to remove time obligations. Sets you in a trap to begin with when you start to tell the public when you intend to wed.

I didn't find anything interesting about it. When they mentioned they would like to have it at some point in 2017, it was the sit down interview they did when People Magazine visited their house in dallas back in December that was really in depth. In this recent, live interview with Access Hollywood, she was put on the spot and was specifically asked if they started the wedding planning and had a date yet. She simply responded with they were taking it slow and enjoying the engaged life in Dallas. Two different circumstances in different types of interviews. JMO

I tend to disagree here. I think in all of the interviews when asked multiple questions by various news outlets, they gave the same response to each one. So to me, it would have been easy to give a similar response as they have been accustomed doing. So in my estimation, this time, the response was more deliberate. Not that they won't get married in 2017, but that they just wanted to relax a bit and enjoy life. I think it will be telling in the next couple interviews that they do (if they do), what their response would be to that question. If they continue on the 2017 train then we know. If they continue not be specific about a month or year for the wedding, then we would also know.

Though I haven't followed Bach couples in the past like some of you probably have, I notice as well that the couples change their tune especially when they are being considered for a TV wedding. I am not saying this is the case here, but it's not uncommon for couples who deviate from what they would have said initially in interviews regarding wedding date, IMO.

The interviewers didn't ask her if they were getting married in 2017. They asked if they were in the process of planning a wedding/tv wedding. And JoJo said no (about currently planning a wedding), they were living life in Dallas, with Jackie, having a good time, etc. etc. She essentially said the same thing(s) she says in every/all interviews.
