Bachelorette Canada - Season 1 - Jasmine Lorimer - General Sleuthing - S/Caps - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

Kevin has a lot of great qualities including being former military and a firefighter but he still has some things that give me pause. I didn't like how he talked to Jasmine at all and walking out (twice) is immature imo. His mom is another red flag and hope she's mellowed a bit. That doesn't mean that I'm saying Jasmine shouldn't pick him but hoping that her great communication skills will help their relationship if she does.

Me neither. He is such a soft hearted guy. After all I've written it is my hope against hope that TPTB messed with lighting. Anything is possible. Cinematographers can make day look like night and vice versa. But, alas, in this case I can't see them spending the time foilING sleuthers here.

I dont know why I just believe that Mikhel is F1. Its the way their relationship has developed and it reminds me of Desiree and Chris. I am no expert on lights and sun so I may be wrong. I guess when ai get on a train I stay on and its The Mikhel train this time

@see2love I too wish it was Mikhel but alas I give up she is going for what she always go for.

Can I join this heartbroken party? I'm glad I know now and not at the finale. I can't imagine how it will be like for Mikhel fans that are regular viewers.
I hope it's him she is in love with but I respect her choice and wish her and KW well. I hope he treats her like the amazing human being she is.
Love is the only reality after all.

@albean it is always interesting to see different points of view. I think in this situation we will never understand just how difficult it is to be at your best. I find it interesting that we focus on the guys reaction to certain things, when we see the lead be very blunt and forthcoming with her own comments and communication skills or lack of. During the MTA and Jasmine commenting about style of kissing and her bluntness about Seth's kissing is also immature and did not show her in the best of light. I am all about honesty and straight forwardness and I think if Jasmine picks KW as F1 his mom and Jasmine will be fine because they are both very honest and blunt.

Jasmine and KW both have stated that their relationship is "REAL" and IMO their relationship is more natural because it is at a totally different level. During the season Jasmine didn't like something or someone she was ready to let them go. If she was truly bothered by Kevin's walking out he would have never received the rose at the ceremony. I remember during Kaitlyn and Shawn's season Shawn walked out and had his own issues and they were "love at first sight" just like Kevin. I really like Mikhel but I really don't think he has enough edge for her.

IMO Jasmine can definitely hold her own with anyone else's bluntness/criticism. I think she was just reigning it in to be a little polite because it was her first time meeting Kevin's mom. The way she effusively tried to reassure her that she will be there for Kevin with the "of course!" spoke volumes to me.

I honestly think Kevin is the guy for her because he doesn't appear to take any BS (and she IMO would be better suited with someone who doesn't let her get away with things) ... and I agree, Mikhel is IMO too much of a people pleaser/doesn't have enough edge for her.

That's hilarious about Kevin's man-sized towelkerchief - I hadn't noticed

I also thought Mikhel was upset when I saw that photo but there are others which appear to be from the same night where his mood seems fine so now I think maybe he's just boozy?

Ok I wasn't going to post anymore because sometimes this show does my head in and this is one of the situations but I will put my 5 cents in about why she will pick KW and this is completely JMO.

It has nothing to with whether Kevin has more "edge" or not, it has everything to do with not having her heartbroken like she did when her dad passed away. What are you talking about you might ask, well here is the thing. Jasmine will pick the guy that has walked out before because she is preempting that he will at some stage walk out and not come back. Its much easier to accept the outcome of something when you know at the beginning. That's why she picks the same type of guy all the time and if they don't walk she does, she said it herself. It is a pattern she will continue to repeat until she has had enough and does enough soul searching to know she is worth more than the drama these guys provide. There is no doubt there is passion, heck you need a good dose of passion to have arguments in the bachie bubble when you have only seen each other a total of maybe a dozen times and been on two dates. Her coming on to this show saying she wanted to find a different type of guy was something she was merely saying and not really wanting. Mikhel and the other guys never stood a chance to KW and not because they are people pleasers or don't have enough edge or the chemistry between them or for any other reason but because his leaving when they argue drew him to her. So she chased it that IMO is what fuels the chemistry and passion for her. She is following her pattern.

So is KW right for her, yes, for right now he is. But I'm sure at some stage of the game she will look back on it and know it was another life lesson she had to learn to find her true person. Because she will finally open her heart to someone not because it was right for right now, but because loving someone knowing they may die when you are old and grey is worth the risk even if it hurts like hell.

As for Mikhel, he deserves so much more than someone who was never going to choose him and even if its hurting like hell right now, I'm sure he has learnt some life lessons as well and the things that he perhaps liked or didn't like about Jasmine he can now choose someone who is completely right for him. As I'm sure he has learnt a tonne of things he likes and doesn't like about himself.

As for Kevin, this is going to be a hard lesson for him too. His way of dealing with issues that are uncomfortable for him and I predict will come to the forefront when the finale is aired and there will be some inevitable backlash as there is every season. He needs to put this into perspective and realise thats what he signed up for and retaliating by going on a rant (ticking time bomb, "I have so so much to say") will not help his cause or the backlash so I'm hoping thats not what he does. He will need a lot of soul searching to make his relationships work as well including putting your wife or girlfriend first and not your mother will be a start. Because standing up to your mother in law is one thing to say, but can create a lifetime of conflict not only between you and her but also your husband and most times it never gets resolved and unfortunately I have seen many a strained relationship crumble because of it. But he also needs to reassess the way he deals with conflict as it needs to be addressed or he will also continue the pattern of finding women who are with him only for the drama and quite frankly thats not fair on him either. But only he can change if he is willing and not because someone wants him to.

So thats just my opinion and who knows I may be pleasantly surprised by all of it in the end, and one can only hope.

I agree with your thinking @Fifty and for me a key scene from the preview is of Jasmine in the cave saying to KW "I think you would leave me".  [Personally, I think being in a relationship with KW would be so volatile that having him leave would be a blessing, but I digress...]

To me, she is asking that question knowing darn well he's going to answer "No, I won't!"  She will then choose to believe that answer.  If she truly believed he would leave (and her instincts there are spot on IMO) she wouldn't even ask that question - she would just choose Mikhel.
