Kevin Dexter Pattee - Bachelorette Canada - Season 1 - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

I loved that moment with Kevin P when he talked about wanting to have met her in a coffee shop ... There's a lot more to him and it's too bad we won't get to see his HTD.

If I am coming from a sleuthing perspective my theory would be that Kevin P has experienced loss in love before and that is part of why he has felt guarded. I almost think he's going to leave himself and that's why we see Jasmine crying. Or Jasmine realises that Kevin P just isn't going to be able to move forward at this time. It looked emotional in the preview.

I actually am invested in the Mike and Jasmine love story this season @TheWrongReasons so I'm going to have to keep watching after KP leaves . Wish Kevin P all the best; as usual he sounds like he's on another adventure. I think he and Jasmine wanted different things for the future (I think she only realised what she really needed whilst doing the show) and that eventually KP will meet someone who makes him want to take that next step. It'll probably happen when he least expects it. All JMO.

IMO the franchise often has the "friendship to love" storyline but Kevin is unique in that his is more about taking the time to see if long term compatability qualities are there before diving in. He's 35 so I imagine he knows what works for him in a relationship and knows what he is/isn't willing to compromise on. Since Thomas was let go due to Jasmine seeing a lifestyle conflict and Kevin recognized that in an ITM, seems to me his deciding to finally commit to a kiss could mean he is ready to alter his lifestyle should a relationship happen. I think that was his revelation.

I think her spontaneous playful side is a good balance to his depth. If not her, than someone like her

I also appreciated Kevin P's expressions in the last episode! Same Kevin same.

@bluwavz - KP would be my F1 hands down  (in an alternate hypothetical universe where I wasn't married and was somehow The Bachelorette ).

@jojo47 - I thought that kiss definitely seemed hot aesthetically (I didn't see off the charts chemistry between them, but he seemed to have the moves - he just needs the right partner Lol)

@notarose - I agree that KP seems to be all about taking the time to see/feel compatibility before diving in (this IMO can be problematic with this format).

IMO it seems like he didn't feel enough of that "it" factor to feel compelled to kiss her until last ep - last ep, he might have felt like it was time to jump in "sink or swim" since with this dating format, you need to take more of a risk.

I think they're both romantics but not the right fit for each other. If by some chance they end up together somehow & he's the surprise F1, I'll admit I'm wrong (doesn't seem likely though).

@siena - awww I'm glad you are enjoying JasMike - I'm always happy for fans enjoying a love story I will keep watching, too - I'll just be a bit disappointed not to see KP. I the coffee shop comment, too. I've said it before, but in terms of Bach franchise match, IMO Kevin & Caila would be a great fit ... wanderlust loving dreamers with an affinity for beautiful words & a romantic spirit ...somebody set them up in a coffee shop stat .

4. Kevin P, 35: Excuse my French, but HOLY S*** that kiss. Did it give anyone else chills or am I just a weirdo? I’m not sure if it was the sudden music change, the long buildup (a first kiss in Episode 6 = buildup), or how Kevin P beckoned Jasmine with a gentle “come here,” but I was swooning. And not to blow any more smoke up Jasmine’s azz, but she is incredibly perceptive. The fact that she can recognize Kevin P’s guardedness as actually knowing and learning something about him is huge; she looks past it as just a fact or a con, but further to the point of relating to it. All that said, while it’s possible Kevin P has dark horse potential (previews suggest he gets his long-awaited 1-on-1 next week) I still struggle to see him coming from so far behind to make it to the end. But, who knows? If that kiss was anywhere near as epic as it looked on TV, I’ll be the last person to underestimate his staying power.

TBTH the only person I see any sizzle on screen this season is Kevin P. Both because of him and then Jim and jasmine. All the rest of the relationships are falling flat to me.
