Lee reveals his father's cancer scare has given him a new outlook on life and love.

He’s run with the bulls in Pamplona, hang-glided off cliffs in Rio and mountain-biked down “The Death Road” in Bolivia. Now Lee, 35, is ready for his biggest adventure yet: seeing if Georgia Love is “The One” for him in The Bachelorette.

The mechanical plumber puts his zest for life down to a tough period when his father was diagnosed with bladder cancer.
“It stems from my old man getting sick six years ago,” Lee reveals. “He was given the all clear, but it was an eye-opener that life is short.

“We’re not here for a long time, we’re here for a good time.” For Lee, who lives in Melbourne, that meant taking a chance on love by throwing himself into this “crazy experience”.

He admits he wouldn’t have put himself out there to find a potential wife on TV five years ago.

“I’m genuinely excited about the thought of spending my life with somebody,” he says.

“You regret the things you don’t do. You don’t want to play the ‘What if?’ game. You put it all out there.”

He did exactly that when he first met Georgia. In an attempt to break the ice, Lee arrived with a donkey in tow.

“The donkey made an ‘azz’ of me, but it also made her smile,” he laughs.
