MAFS - Season 4 - Nick Pendergrast - Sonia Granados

I chose not to share this before, but one of my cousins son's --- thus, a second cousin --- went to college with Nick. He didn't know him well, but Nick was good friends with good friends of my second cousin and has been told Nick is a very decent guy. I didn't want to say anything, because I really don't know much, other than I tend to believe not learning it didn't work out was a great sign.

I am so stoked for these two! I find them the most relatable out of all MAFS couples so far and I think they're both good people. They have their faults, but who doesn't? It's clear that they both really want to be married for life and see each other as the person to do it with. They do have a lot in common despite getting some wires crossed early on, and I think their relationship will only get better with time, since the more they understand each other the easier it gets.

I'm hoping things worked out/will continue to work out for these 2. Just me, but, it seems in the final episode last week, there was something different about Nick...and not the "trying hard to win Sonia back" type of Nick. They seemed to actually be comfortable with each other. He was more relaxed, and, dare I say, like he "opened up".
When they showed Tom/Lily and Nick/Sonia having lunch together, Lily had a face on her like she felt "why aren't they like us?". She even said (I hope I get this right) they don't seem comfortable together.(??)
Nick and Sonia mesh together, IMO. They don't seem to have preconceived notions about each other and Sonia even complimenting Nick about his being so handy doing things. I think Nick appreciates her compassion and what she does in her career. AND, that she worked so hard to accept his dogs, as well.

havent watched the episode yet....But im happy for them!!..hope they keep learning about each other and keep the romance alive

I still think this couple is on shaky ground. Time will tell. JMHO.

I loved their interaction on last night's episode. I thought it was cute and Nick was actually smiling and seemed more "alive" imo. Really rooting for these two.

^^^yep, I agree. Nick is not an actor and his whole manner was definitely more relaxed and happy. His smiles for Sonia were glowing. It's a new Nick! She also looked much happier.

Based on their ages and shared desire for children, I bet they give it an honest shot. She said that she sees Nick as being a great dad for her kids, and Nick said that he liked the side that Sonia brought out in him. Both are great sentiments for a mature relationship to bloom.

I haven't watched the epi yet, but what was the turning point for Nick to suddenly be comfortable with Sonia? TYIA

@guardianangel they did not ask but I believe when she got up and left when he was rude, and she did not just come back and kept him at arms length it really wake him up. JMHO

I would also speculate that it was easier for Nick to share more of his true personality with Sonia once the cameras were gone. He's SO not an actor, and I would be curious to know if many of their scenes/his interviews had to be shot more than one time, leading to annoyance for everyone. I always got the feeling that his "blowup" was aimed at the producers, not Sonia.
