I wasn't thinking there would be another RC, I was envisioning more a scenario where he just rocked up and said something along the lines of he hadn't been able to stop thinking about her, maybe he was in love, wanted a second chance etc, and she'd say no and send him on his way.  Anyway, it was just a thought. NI have messed with my head with that comment about the 3rd date.

IMO I doubt the AU version has $$$ for that kind of stunt tbh...

As for Cam, he's a sweetheart but I don't want to see him as lead. It was too painful watching him with his nerves and he was only F5 and only got more nervous with time. I couldn't handle that for a whole season and I think TPTB will be making a mistake if they make Cam as lead. He would get butchered far worse than Richie and it would be a mess, imo, and definitely make the ratings even worse.

For the early part of the season I thought that Lee was a lock for F1 - esp considering the SM and Media focus on him. Other smaller external things had me convinced such as Osher stating he picked Georgia's choice but not Richie's and Lee hovering around $1.60 with Sportsbet (I always assumed they had insider knowledge, given Alex's odds too).

But when I shut out the external stuff and just looked at the stories of the F3 - I find it hard to believe the winner doesn't get cumulative the most screen time. Or doesn't have a well developed story line through the season - Georgia questioning Lee's interest in her before a 2nd SD was kinda weird as you expect that stage to be more about strengthening with the F1. Also I can't believe they cut the notebook boat part of that date cause it was so bloody swoon-worthy and TPTB are supposed to be creating a love story.

In conclusion, i'm very confused now

I wonder if we will get another spoiler from the travel agent next week?

Wow, what an epic F4 episode!  Just finished watching and boy, does it evoke plenty of painful and out-of-this-world feelings for me from my own love life!  Sorry, advance notice - this is a long, long post and my pent up feelings are now pouring out.  Have had a huge heart-to-heart with my husband too and it was wonderful that he and I opened up and discussed our own relationship, even after so many years together.

It's tragic; IMO she shows the most real and raw emotions for Courtney.  We know G's mother is unwell and G has given up her job and moved back from Tasmania to Melbourne.  All three life events which are in themselves highly stressful.  On top of that, IMO the belief/story that she has to be madly in love at the end of a finite period under unnatural conditions - I wonder about making such an important decision in those circumstances and under self-imposed constraints.

Agree that at this stage of HTDs, the edit highlights new questions for G - like Matty's readiness to settle down and clucking over kids, Lee's age-difference and history of dating blondes.  IMHO G is looking to find a made-in-heaven love to assuage the aches and stress triggered by her mother's illness and the upheavals in job and moving back to Melbourne.

My heart hurts for the pain and uncertainty in her life from her mother's illness.  If only, there is a magic wand to create in a single package:

• Courtney's free spirit and interests (the allergy bracelet, the production endeavours, the diverse presenting gigs, his sporty side, his make-things-out-of-almost-nothing side)

• Lee's love for puns and slightly quirky sense of humour, love for travelling, desire not to settle down as yet and feeling no pressure to settle down straightaway and have kids; the fact that he is in Melbourne and the absence of the need to compromise and work out the practicalities of who moves to where and niggling of who is compromising more and on what

• Matty's ability to practically fall in love at first sight, earnestness and ability to enunciate the most romantic and heartfelt sentiments that could be straight out of a romance novel, his love for things English, his playfulness, his joy for life, his sense of rhythm, his open and unguarded demeanour of showing her just how happy he is to see her plus he is clearly almost in very very deep and is most openly displaying signs that he is already in love

• Jake's ability to zero in and make her feel that there is no one else he is looking at, being with, whenever she is with him, the smooth and swoon-worthy confidence he has and the ability to find the right words/phrases (like the love letter) that appeals to her journalistic partiality for the beauty that can be found in heartfelt words.

All IMO.

He is a sweetheart and completely loveable as was Richie, but the fact he is so nervous on camera as Richie was sends alarm bells ringing for me that unfortunately he would lose that loveable character for a scripted robot. Matty or Lee would be a far better choice IMO as they both look far more comfortable in front of the camera. And lets be honest we haven't had the best luck with guys from WA as the bach.

Yep, I think they need to go with the F2 if they do returnees or someone new (but I have a feeling they will go with a returnee because Bach films sooner than Bette and it's a way to get guys on the Bette seasons as contestants)

ITA about no more Perth leads! I loved Richie as a contestant but was truly disappointed as him as lead. One thing I like about both Matty and Lee is that they are able to initiate making out and conversation, both shown initiating conversation (CP and on dates) and asking G "how are you feeling" etc, so I think both Lee and Matty are used to being more like leads than contestants (Lee makes me think of Tim and Sam Wood a bit - mixed and Matty more talkative too). Richie was way too shy and and Cam is even worse, imo, considering he was all nerves and could barely talk and he was F5 so even more nervous and not even had a HTD.

Please Bach producers if you are reading this, please don't make the mistake of what happened with Richie, go with Lee or Matty. Thanks

I definitely don't want Cam as next Bach! I agree he would be worse than Richie BUT Cam would be great as a returnee to win Nikkis heart on the next bachelorette I mean they both follow each other on IG so why not he can sing some songs for her Matty J for next Bach !! Because IMO Lee is f1 (or vice versa if Matty is f1, then Lee for Bach)....

I agree, Cam would be too nervous and it would be uncomfortable to watch. Also the kind of girl I see making him happy is not the kind of girl who would go on the Bach, if you know what I mean? I expect with all the positive attention he'll have no trouble finding someone after this though.

Similarly with Jake, I couldn't ever see him as a Lead, but I do think he'll be getting plenty of female attention since he's come off looking pretty good so far.  I don't expect he would want to ever move away from his family so it'd be great for him if the exposure can help him find a local girl.

Re: Matty vs Lee, I think both would attract a high number of applicants/viewers and make good Leads, but I'm just not sure Lee would be comfortable playing the field in the way a Lead is expected to.  I worry he'd over-think things and become anxious and it would make for awkward viewing.  

Matty I think would be best - he's so good on camera and seems to love all the goofy things they get them to do on dates.  Plus he wears his heart on his sleeve and obviously has the ability to fall in love quick which is a bonus in that situation.  But then, I want to see him with Georgia.  So torn!

Lee has confessed to being reserved, that is not the quality that makes a good lead IMO. Though he is IMO the hottest of the lot and super intelligent as well.

Matty for next lead if he is not F1.
