Our little club is keeping me entertained at the moment. Yes, heart disease is big on my mom's side of the family. Both her brothers passed away after having heart attacks and my grandmother after a stroke. Mom had a massive coronary 28 years ago and we were told she wouldn't make it then. Clearly she did and her physician used her as a case study for years. She is stable at the moment and seems to be getting better. They need to put in a pacemaker, but she is still too weak to withstand that. We are hopeful.

@Sprite prognosis sounds very positive and hopeful. Continue with the hope, pacemaker is ez and hopefully soon and will help.

@LoveDovez I know. What a well behaved little dog. He looks at her as if to say, oh man! But doesn't go for them because he knows he can't until he's told too. So cute.

We live on a ranch and about 3 weeks ago hubby went outside and saw a cat actually stick her arm, up to the shoulder, in a gopher hole. She had been stalking the gopher. Hubby fed her a gopher he had caught and mentioned how thin she looked.

Two days later, she shows up with 2 tiny kittens! We put them in our workshop and bought food. Never had cats before. Borrowed a carrier to take mama to animal rescue to see if she was chipped - NOT. She is still nursing but we want to take her to be spayed. Kittens are not very into human touch - I can stroke them while I feed them but won't let me pick them up. Mama is obviously a stray used to human touch. Our dog thinks it is his job to terrorize them and will run around the workshop (about the size of a 3 car garage) looking in the windows to see the cats. It's exhausting keeping them safe!

Any suggestions?

@Norcalgal so kind of you to try and help the kittens. I'm of no help when it comes to cats. I know @Sprite is very knowledgeable about cats. I'm sure there are other members who would be able to help.
