Re: Pets - Animals - Photo's - Health - Discussion
I wanted to share a picture of my blue bird box for those that enjoy watching the circle of life. If you cater to bluebirds, you know that black snakes love bird eggs as an appetizer. I think I've finally figured out how to deter them and keep my baby bird eggs safe all season.!! I mounted an upside down baffle(bucket) just below box. The snake crawls up inside bucket instead of straight up pole to box. Never mount a box on tree. EASY EASY access. Just below bucket, you can see yellow netting. Inside that netting, I have put moth balls. Snakes don't like the musky smell of moth balls.
Spring has sprung at my house. She's now sitting on her eggs pretty much 24/7. She even let me take her pic. Can you see her peering back at me?

Bailey update: She is almost 11 weeks now and 2.8 lbs. She is a very cute, very smart girl with a lot of moxie. We have deemed that her middle name Moxie.
Since it has still been so cool here, we have been wee-wee pad training. She does very well. The funny thing is when she gets frisky, she will go over to the wee-wee pad area and drag it by it's edge into our family area and then pee on it. It's her own version of a portable-potty.

It's so fun to see their personalities emerge! I've always loved moxie. My min pin was full of it by 12 weeks old!Kashathediva wrote:Bailey update: She is almost 11 weeks now and 2.8 lbs. She is a very cute, very smart girl with a lot of moxie. We have deemed that her middle name Moxie.

@mprssdbyu thanks for the pics! So beautiful! What a great idea with the pail.
@Kashathediva that is just too darn cute. I wonder if she drag's her pee pad so you can see she's peeing on it for a treat? Smart girl!
I used to make a big deal for peeing on the pee pad followed by a treat.

@GuardianAngel
IDK. She is pretty smart though. This morning she saw me in the bathroom and then went across the hall and did her "bathroom".
Your hint for embedding worked!

So sweet.

Reminds me of when my pups were puppies, I used to yell, "owie" when I was playing if they were playing to hard, to teach them, and they would stop playing and lick me.

@mprssdbyu Bluebirds are the state bird of Missouri. Yet when I was growing up and lived in MO, I never saw a bluebird. I live vicariously through you. Post updates!

I couldn't help myself. Saw this after reading that dog urine is corrosive and apparently eroded a light pole in San Francisco and it toppled.
