Yes.^ My dad was in political office for over 35 yrs. He worked his butt off supporting a family of 8 in his "regular job" and was fully involved in city politics until it did become his full time paid job.
I would like to believe in the recesses of my snarky mind, that civic service can be a good thing. I don't know if Ben will be part of that or if he will be a good fit. I don't know him or his views or his aspirations. But I have to believe there are youth out there willing to work for a better future for all of us--just because it's a good thing to do.

The seat itself only makes 30K a year. You don't go into this to get rich. I don't know how anyone could do this without having another job or another source of income on the side.

ITA with those stating Ben can run and still have his job - especially the one he already has which seems very flexible. He's not running for mayor or Senate or something, and not even close to running for POTUS (although much more preferable than a certain other reality tv person IMO) so I don't see him needing someone to financially support him.

I don't know Ben's  political views but he seems like someone who wants to contribute to his community and help people so if he can do so and try to make a positive difference then I admire that. I wish there were more people like that in this world.

IMO.

This can very well happen. I've expierenced it happening. Different political views can cost friendships, and in Ben's case millions of fans. Ben is young and seems to be very passionate about giving back and helping others which is wonderful but IMO I don't know if politics is the best way to do it. JMHO He has good parents to guide him in the right direction with making a decision with something like this. :Nod: I would VOTE BEN

I would think financially he is doing pretty good. He purchased his own home well before he went on this show. For a young man in his mid 20's to already own a home, and not living with family, IMO is an indication of how mature he is when it comes to finances.

They don't seem to live an extravagant life style, jet setting to vacations spots, aimlessly wandering around, blowing his Bachelor pay cheque, but rather are happy working in the yard and renovating the garage, with his Dad and attending charity functions.

He has already proven IMO well before going on K's season, that he's a genuine member of the community who wants to help. I would welcome someone like him in my community. In a neighbouring town where I live, a new mayor was elected 10 yrs ago, he was 33 yrs old at the time. He looked like a kid. He is going strong and is serving his third term at age 44yrs old. He's made a huge difference to that little town. IMO we need more younger generation to get involved and be proactive to try and make a difference in our communities.

IMO the friends and fans he'd lose over entering politics, he won't miss much. I think his real friends already know what he is about, and accept and support him. I highly doubt some new revelations will come about him they weren't aware of. And IMO if you live your life trying to please masses of fans, you won't be living your life.

The 30K a year would roughly balance out Lauren's loss of flight attendant income. Lauren can then pursue whatever career goals she may have and Ben can serve his community.

Didn't wanna detract from happiness in the fan thread but since it's being talked about there, what did Lauren reply to someone? What did JJ do the day prior (someone said he got in on the hate?!). Is it the Tebow comment above?

Personally I think the photo Ben posted makes her look quite thin and not in a cute, #fitgirl way, not a flattering pic of her and she's usually super cute.. I don't know how he didn't see the flurry of comments coming, but idk .

I remember her telling the DJ (I forgot the radio show, the Denver one?) something like"I don't understand why people fight on my photos"
and I was like, why she read all comments, not good for mental health because the comments are really messy

This is the how her comment started . She did not like the pic of her that Ben posted and the her being skinny comment and unhealthy keep coming .
