That's what I do too. I am not bound by party and I don't pick my friends based on their politics. I like people that are the exact opposite of how I think. I don't like talking politics but I have at times and it makes some very interesting conversations.

Extremely Religious guy from Indiana? Yeah, probably Republican.
Lauren's brother at least posts a lot of conservative stuff to social media. That doesn't mean Lauren is conservative though, obviously. But it does show parts of her family are, and families tend to lean the same way. In an interview not too long ago she was asked about the election and her political beliefs, and she gave a very PC answer, stating she didn't define with one party necessarily and rather looked at the individual.
If they both lean Republican but can remain unbiased enough to still support a leader of a different party, it makes me like them more. JMO.

There are a lot of Democrats that are religious. I have ministers in my family that vote strictly Democrat.

It's difficult to gauge someone else's personal affiliation when we know very limited personal things about them. Add to the mix those things can change and should change with the times.

Well he didn’t HAVE to tell both women that he loved them and triple the effect. Still, you can mess up once, but this…Fingersandtoes wrote:blueblues wrote:So this is actually happening. I see a pattern here.
1) I will never blindside you. 2) I love you. 3) I love someone else more.
1) I will focus on our relationship. 2) Renounces DWTS. 3) Goes into politics.
His promises seem come with an expire date. For a politician that might actually be a useful quality though.

I don't get the pattern at all. One was a heavily scripted tv show, where he had to blindside someone. And entering into politics doesn't mean he won't make effort in his relationship.
And the only reason he gets this chance is because he is known from a dating show on TV. It is so incredibly cheap.
I am done with him. JMO

Very true, and very fair. I was speaking in too broad of generalities.

My personal take:
There is a huge difference in real life and what you do in real life and --I hate to even make the comparison--vs.
a reality somewhat scripted tv show?
IMO--this is someone who took a year of his life to go on sabbatical and do a totally absurd thing as a lark. He went on a romance reality tv show. He took a break from real life.
Now he is back to real life. He is back with a woman he met during this break and hopefully will make a life with her doing the things he considers important to him. JMO...
There is a difference between the two. IMO.

"challenges are what makes life interesting, overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.real love is when you are completely committed to someone even when they are being completely unlovable.a strong marriage requires two people who chose to love each other even on those days when they struggle to like each other.a great marriage doesn't happen when the perfect couple gets together. It happens when an imperfect couple gets together and learn to enjoy each other's differences."

Better than getting mani's and pedi's as we type, preparing to go to BIP.
I admire anyone going into politics. Whether I like them or not. IMO it's a huge job, not a pretty job.

This. Ben just focus on your wedding and save the politics until you both are ready and have settled into married life. Because this is just telling another story IMO.

He isn't breaking any promises to Lauren though. We have no clue how Lauren feels or thinks about it, and in the end it seems like it will be THEIR joint decision, IMO. I still don't get the comparison to his time on bachelor, either.
