So, Jojo ended up LOVING the GD. Hmmmm. Only wish they could have been in their pajamas. Hmmmm. What's better than greasy food, games, and Robby stripping? Hmmmm.

Shirl,...SHIRL...wake up, you're dreaming again! giggling

Interesting blog once again, seeing more first person comments...and this was very interesting how she worded this.
I knew Luke was someone I felt strongly about. I really just wanted to get to the rose ceremony because after that day there were no more questions for me. I didn't need a dinner to know that I was headed back to Texas to meet Luke's family.

Litta, that's why I think we're seeing more of Chase, because the lead they wanted/possible 2 leads weren't available for it. One was off the market and one didn't want it, maybe why one isn't getting the best edit. jmo

Lost, this was the comment that had me going, "WOW!!!!"

Getting to sit down and talk to Luke about his life and family really started to help me picture what my life with him would be like … and that excited me. It was so meaningful to hear him tell me that despite the chaos around us, our connection felt more real to him than anything else. Luke has a way of easing my fears, and at this point I began to realize that he was a calming force for me.
source is JoJo's People Blog

JoJo has been quoted repeatedly as needing/wanting someone who makes her feel safe. So how can she cut Luke the next week...because he brought his entire clan to meet her? She of all people should cut someone slack for a bad HTD...and who's to say it was bad? (I haven't seen the preview).

^^Yeah, Litta agree! I didn't include the first person ones in that post, but I saw it. I think all her blog posts concerning Luke have had first person comments in them, unlike the others.

Something piqued my curiosity regarding the show and storyboarding, so I went to check the editors and story producers on this season: Some are veterans, but many last worked on Des', Ali's, Jill's, or Pavelka's season. That could explain the reason that the season preview follows the same pattern as Des'.

It might be a good time to look at conflict to sort this season a bit:

JoJo's conflict is "Who can I trust?" We've heard her say that feeling safe is essential to her in a relationship.

Jordan's conflict is "Who am I?" as he struggles against the entitled perception and tries to emerge from under his brother's shadow.

Robby's conflict is "Can I be trusted?" as he's starting to come under siege about his ex-gf, lying, etc.

Luke's conflict is "Are we compatible for a life together?" as Jo challenges his depth (so random).

Chase's conflict is "Can I open up?" as we see him struggle to speak his feelings.

When I think about the way that these storylines play out, I don't see all of these possible pairings as the solution to each other's conflict:

Chase, sadly, can resolve his on his own. He just needs to tell her how he feels.
Robby, I think that he won't be able to fully establish trust with JoJo, and I see this issue carrying him into the F2 and the FRC where he'll be eliminated (sorry, Mia).
Jordan, right now, I think that he and JoJo are the resolution to each other's conflicts IF JoJo is not turned off by Jordan's estrangement from Aaron and allows Jordan to be himself. She said on their 1:1 that she trusts him.
Luke is a wild card for me. I can see them being compatible one day, and then, the next day, I see him as the Bachelor.

Hope for Chase: If there is some type of major upheaval in the next few episodes that unmoors Jordan/JoJo, then I see an opening for Chase.

One other thing: I actually think that the narrative structure is following that of a fairytale. JoJo is the princess and Jordan is the hero. Sad to say that Robby, IMO, is the false hero. Chris H. is the--get ready--fairy godmother. It also could be that Jordan is a false hero and the true hero is hiding behind the names of either Luke or Chase. Smiley

I think there are interesting parallels being drawn between Jordan and Robby as follows:

Robby is strong family man. He rejects ex because she doesn't have the same family values. Robby is able to walk away from ex because it is a choice. She is not his flesh and blood.

Meanwhile, Robby is estranged from his flesh and blood brother over 'how Aaron chooses to do life." Jordan says HE is different than Aaron because HE HIMSELF has chosen to be close to his family. But, in reality he is choosing to reject his own brother for differences. It is like he is talking out of both sides of his mouth. He values his family therefore he rejects his family.

On HTDs Jojo is going to see 2 very different families with Robby and Jordan. Which Family Values will she feel more in tune with?

I think that any conflicts of "who am I" can only be resolved by the individual asking the question. It is a personal question which can only be answered from within.

I think that a conflict of "can I be trusted? " is resolved between 2 people. First there are your own actions and words, and then there is a reaction to them. Trust can be resolved as a couple. Identity cannot. JMHOAA

Possibly, Mia, but Jordan might determine that part of his identity is JoJo's fiance, creating a family with her (I don't think that they'll make it, though). She already trusts him, so he resolves her conflict.

Or it could be that Jordan solves his conflict on his own. Or that Jo decides to trust someone else with her heart.
