THE BACHELORETTE - SEASON 12 - JOJO FLETCHER - **NO SPOILERS** - Episode Discussion - *SLEUTHING* DISCUSSION

Random thoughts on episode 5: 

-This can't be the first time for a protein powder seance on this show

-Jordan being the total alpha-male with that chat with Chad, I can see how that is attractive to some
-I prefer Chase's more beta approach of standing on the sidelines & observing

(JoJo on cam): "I was worried that I would have my heart broken again, but hopefully after this week" cam pan to Chase (VO) I won't have that fear again."

-Chase and the Heinz balls, what a goofball, but I love it and I think JoJo does, too. They are still endearing together. He is conflicted in ITM...says there's an instant connection, but..back peddles with some insecurity about where she stands with the others. This may be a good sign for Chase. Could be TPTB mumblings in his ear to make him feel less confident? This happens to some F1s. 

-Robby's overconfidence with "our relationship seems miles ahead". Not good historically on this show. 

-Chase's reaction to the Robby kiss by the fountain smacks of JP Rosenbaum

-Awww, Luke saying he's falling for JoJo, it's making his heart beat faster, ....well you made my heart beat faster just now! 

-Does Jordan want to fall in love with JoJo or does he want to win (the symbolic football game?) Seems when faced with stiff competition he steps it up. The kiss against the wall.....it was hot..but it was kind of "friday night party in college" ...
and probably would've been more romantic without the porn music.

-Another cam pan to Chase with Vinny's VO "There are a lot of good guys here"

-Key VO from JoJo "Trust is something that is so important to me. It's ultimately been why a relationship has failed for me."

-Jordan's VO "The competition (cam pan to Chase) is stiff." 

Hmm. The others see Jordan as the FR. I knew this was coming after Chad's departure. Some mistrust. Wonder if it's jealousy or if the mistrust is founded.

-Chase not present during first tabloid discussion.

-Wow. So Jordan said he was "falling in love' with JoJo by episode 5.
-JoJo "Do you think at any point this will scare you so much that you're going to pull away?" .......this intrigues me greatly. Is this foreshadowing?
-JoJo, I would hold off on taking that deep breath of relief. 
Jorjo's relationship is very comfortable and seems like they've been together longer than they have. 
Jordan was a little bit gloaty off that date, but understandably maybe?

-I'm under the impression that after the tabloid mess, JoJo had hugged Derek and Chase, and they got out of her way so that she could give Jordan a hug

-No, I really didn't want to see Robby getting his toenails clipped!

-Wells, you're so handsome, why are you sitting so far away from JoJo? Go get you some! 

-Still thinking Luke is next lead contender. We know she has an obstacle with Jordan, Robby, & now it appears Chase coming up in the future? What is Luke's obstacle?

-Feeling robbed of Chojo one-on-one time during the GD evening portion. (Is this another Ali/Roberto situation? Would it show too much? Some of theirs was hidden on GDs...or maybe because he isn't F1?)

-Robby often seems like he is rehearsing for a future hosting gig.
-His love declaration seemed sincere though. 

-I can see both sides of the Derek debate. I didn't like the gang-up on him, but Derek at the same time Derek seemed a little self-absorbed. 

Episode 6 preview: They are starting to cast doubt on the Chase relationship. Hmmm....this could be good for him? Very confused by his edit. 
And then there is Jordan...I'm thinking he might be who she is saying good-bye to at FRC. Because he leaves maybe, then returns trying to win her heart back a'la Ed? 
If it's not Jordan, then it could be Robby. What a mess! Please don't get mascara runs on that $1,000 dress, JoJo!

Yeah, Mia those weren't Luke's ginormous hands for sure. OHHH and Mia, I think you secretly want a little slice of fruit of the forest pie, did you notice Luke's shirt in that outtake!

Am I the only one that sees some passion between Luke & Jojo!! It's there, did you guys not see that kiss! It's also there with Jordan, she's seeing all the "signs" she doesn't go for, with him, come on girl stop making excuses where he's concerned. You either full on trust him or you don't.

I wanted to see more sand boarding, looked like a fun date.

So at the BA RC looks like this order- Jordan, JT, Alex, Robby, Chase & Luke-looks like maybe Chase & Luke have roses in the lineup?? Hard to see.

I do like Fruits of the Forest Pie. There is a ton of passion coming from Luke to Jojo, but I don't see as much passion being returned. I see an acknowledgment and appreciation for Luke's passion coming from Jojo, but I don't think she will be able to reach a point where she feels as strongly for Luke as Luke feels for her. I think he is F4 and she spares him more pain. Sorry, But.....I think he has The Bachelor lead in the bag! That's something to be happy about!

The key to the F1 is figuring out the lead's conflict and the top 4 men's obstacles and the ways that they intersect. The person who helps JoJo resolve her conflict and her, his is the F1.

In Ben's season, JoJo resolved her conflict all on her own: She struggled to open up and eventually did when she told Ben that she loved him. Ben and Lauren though resolved each other's conflicts of being enough and trusting him, respectively.

This season, Jo's conflict is definitely, "Who can I trust to fall in love with?" Girl has plenty of fools falling all over her with "I'm falling in love with you" already, but she also has plenty to second guess and wonder. We're being shown many scenarios where her trust is being tested and she's feeling unsafe.

What are the guys' conflicts? Jordan's feels like "Am I ready to commit to being in love again?" I'd argue that somewhere in there he's trying to escape his brother's shadow and now the girlfriend crap. Chase's conflict will be "Am I good enough for her?"--he's been shown being super competitive and next week, he'll be portrayed as jealous. What are Robby's and Luke's? Those who are watching them more carefully might be better able to figure it out.

This season has quickly become the Jordan show. He doesn't need his own season! Luke does!

This episode made me think something may go really awry with Jordan.

I think if Chase can show JoJo that passionate side and she trusts him wholeheartedly, then she will melt into him. We shall see! 

I don't see how Jordan and Robby, with thier ex-GF troubles, and with her trust issues could solve her love obstacle. 

Not sure where that leaves Luke?

I'll bite. I think Robby's conflict will be that he is the victim of a bad rumor (ex gf), and he needs Jojo to trust him when he says it is false.
And vice versa. Jojo's conflict is Who can I trust with my heart? Can she trust Robby? Does she go and believe a rumor about Robby? Dpoes she believe him when he says it is false? She knows first hand about being the victim of a false rumor. Robby showed his love and trust in her by believing her side of the story. Will she be able to do the same for him?

I'm #TeamChase as well, although I haven't caught up on the latest episode.
He's the only in the sleuthed F4 that I like. :cutesmile!:

Veg, I’ll give it a shot concerning Luke. When Jojo was rejected by Ben she said she wanted a love she could count on, that when someone says they love her-they mean it and aren’t going anywhere-we see this in the beginning of this season again. She wants someone with the same values, someone she can feel safe with, trust and be happily engaged to.

Jojo has had conflict after conflict in the past/during the show…she’ll have doubts with Jordan/Robby/Chase. She’s always going for the ‘bad boys’, in the preview she says she promised herself she wouldn’t fall for the bad boy, she obviously does…but I think she falls for the ‘good’ M-A-N too (I find it interesting she used THAT term in caps for Luke in contrast to her previous bad ‘boys’ term, that’s not the only time either). She trusts Luke, feels safe and protected and it’s nice for once NOT seeing any conflict between a couple. I think there’s plenty of conflict coming up without having to include Luke in the mix. That would be a bach/'ette first, a no conflict F1. If only…

I don’t mind being on this unicorn train of 1. I’m enjoying Luke & Jojo’s story, it’s romantic and sexy…now if only they’d include some of their fun moments too!

But I'm a little more hopeful now because it is interesting that Chase is being highlighted in the latest preview. If he was let go in F4 or F3, I think they don't need to build up his story this much?

To me, I think they are trying to make us believe Chase can not reciprocate JoJo's love, by having her questioned him and all her VO about not being loved back. And as the season progresses further, Chase would step up his game and show her he's all in, and then become the F1.

I don't know, I actually got a feeling either Chase is the F1, or JoJo will walk away alone.
