I just wonder if CBS refuses to have them? I think they would want to avoid advertising the bachelor in anyway. I don't know, just a thought.

^^ Agreed. CBS cross promotes with Survivor/Amazing Race all the time. But I don't see them giving ABC a huge promotional boost by showcasing some of their big name reality stars any day soon.

It doesn't bother me in the least that Jash are doing MBC; I'm actually excited to be able to watch them interact as a couple again, since they have always been so sweet together, and I suspect that hasn't changed and will still come through even on this crappy show.  I guess I'm also not that disappointed in them since I never put them on a pedestal in the first place; even though they didn't go so far as to quit actual jobs as so many do and try to make a full time career out of their brush with fame, they also never shied away from interacting with the public/BN on twitter, so they obviously enjoy the "celebreality" to some degree (and I'm not surprised since so far, their experience and end result with it has been quite positive).  I suspect that they were offered the gig, discussed it, and decided the money and short time frame for filming was too good to turn down.  And although I am sure that they really don't have any big marital problems, there are always little things that can be addressed (and I suspect that Trista told Ashley that it was a worthwhile experience for her and Ryan, and they are expecting to get the same kind of edit as that couple did).

As for leaving Fordy, I doubt he will even remember it, and he probably had a blast being spoiled by the grandparents.

I think that Des and Chris would do the show, or something similar, for the money as well, but wonder if they are viewed by prospective producers as popular enough to be asked.  I always thought their wedding wasn't televised for the same reason.  And I say that as someone who thinks they're a very nice couple but also not immune to the lure of easy money (and nothing wrong with that).  Although an old fogey like me would never want to give up my privacy to be on TV, I understand that for the younger generation who grew up with reality tv and now social media, this is just a rite of passage, and participating in it isn't a reflection of a lack of integrity, character flaw, or whatever.  I suspect if I were much younger and "camera ready" like all of them I'd probably be considering doing the same thing.

Well going off some of the couples they recruit for this show, I really don't think they're clamouring for the most popular d listers anyway. I do love me some reality TV but I haven't even heard of some of these people or the shows they're from. Bach nation couples are usually the better known 'stars' on the cast. They can't all be Spencer and Heidis or Honey Boo Boo stars laugh out loud. FWIW I think Des would be more willing to do it than Chris.

"challenges are what makes life interesting, overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.real love is when you are completely committed to someone even when they are being completely unlovable.a strong marriage requires two people who chose to love each other even on those days when they struggle to like each other.a great marriage doesn't happen when the perfect couple gets together. It happens when an imperfect couple gets together and learn to enjoy each other's differences."

I'm sorry but I really don't think Ashley and JP or Des and Chris belong on this show. Most of the people on the show are, indeed D listers, and their language and mannerisms leave an awful lot to be desired. Sorry, hate to be a wet blanket, but this is how I feel. I'd be interested to read other posters' opinions.

Umm it is semantics at this point but Ash and JP did Couples Therapy not Marriage Boot Camp, right? There's was the first bachelor show I ever watched and I fell for them hard. They were the best. I am excited to see them on my TV again but I am not looking forward to the context. All that being said I know my husband and I had a hard time being awesome parents and romantic partners when we had our first so if they need to work on that or something similar and the paycheck goes to good use then they will have me as a viewer.

^ They did MBC, they filmed back to back seasons after Janner. I'm excited to see their dynamic since it feels like forever ago. Hopefully not with too much drama though.

I love them but I think it is INSANE, IN-SANE that they did this. They're so much above this and I don't care what the paycheck was, it's preposterous. Imo.

I don't like that they are doing it either. I was hoping they would not be further sell outs after that Ford ultrasound for the franchise. That was laughable.
I remember my own dentist mentioning how expensive opening a dental practice is today. State of the art equipment runs over 750K. Way over.
This sounds like ez money. I D K--pound of flesh.

She works part time in someone else's practice right now. I don't see her leaving to open up her own office with two kids if she didn't work full time with the one. And yes, I understand life is expensive in general, kids are expensive, Miami is expensive, etc., but that's the same for all of us, and yet, the majority of us do not defer to borderline prostitution as a great solution. All imo.
