Most of it is recapping the finale. The important parts are of what Lauren's dad said:

Bushnell and Higgins have been engaged since taping of the show ended in November, but had to keep their relationship under wraps due to contractual obligations. Monday’s finale means Bushnell’s family can finally talk about Lauren and Ben and what the past few months have really been like.

“He’s an unbelievably fine young man,” Dave Bushnell says of Higgins. “The family loves him and he’s great with Lauren. Before the hometown date was known by the public and it was official they were coming back to West Linn, people kept asking me if he was a nice guy. Until then I couldn’t say I had even met him — I had to pretend I only knew what I had seen from TV. It was hard for all of us to constantly watch what we said to people, so we’re glad we can openly talk about Lauren and Ben now. He’s the real deal, and they’re a great young couple.”

“When your kids are born and you’re holding her in your arms, you don’t say ‘I hope she finds the man of her dreams on a reality TV show someday,'” Bushnell says. “But what she told us when she was interviewing for the show, and what she said going into it, was that at the end she would never move forward in a relationship if she didn’t love him. We felt really good that she’d make the right decision, and it just so happened that they really did fall in love.”

“When we were doing the hometown visit, what the producers didn’t show was Ben asked for her hand in marriage and I told him to wait and give me a call when he was sure Lauren was the one he wanted to marry,” Bushnell says. “He stayed true to his word, and one day when I was on the 105 (a freeway in Los Angeles) heading to the airport to fly home from work I got a text from the producer to talk with Ben. I pulled over and took an exit to a strip mall and sure enough Ben gave me a call and asked for my blessing. I think the effort to take the time to do that really sums up what kind of a person he is.”

Thank you guys for bringing all the goodies here! That cooking class looked so much fun. I love Lauren snapping away and sharing little snippets of their life. It's nice how the bts stuff keeps coming up all the time, and how much amazing BenLo material is left on the cutting room floor. I just have to add, that Lauren's laugh is the most adorable thing ever.

We wanted footage of what they talked about at BYC. That kid isn't the best at filming such things but can anybody get much from what he does tape? I understood Lauren talking about packing the night before, not thinking she'd actually do it and how she needed to fall in love too. So cute to see them together. And Ben with that girl. So cute. I loved his response to her saying she wanted him to pick Jojo. How cute Ben was with her.
