@Amethyst sounds perfect to me! I plan on visiting a beach in October. I'll have to put the book on my list to buy!

ETA: it comes in paperback which is my preference.

I just saw the movie twice this past weekend, and OMG. Nicholas Galitzine is quite the looker. I loved every minute of it. Here's the official trailer:

The novel is longer and more detailed, since the screenwriter had to make some choices about telling the story in a more compact way. But the movie captures the essence of the book, and is such a delight in its own way.

Enjoy! I liked that I read the book first as it provided background and context. The screenwriter had to make some choices in order to fit the time allotment for the movie, but I was almost 100% onboard with how the story was handled. I still think about certain scenes in the movie quite often, and I also love revisiting the book. So much fun, and what a great love story.

@Amethyst thanks for the opinion. I find I enjoy reading the book more in most cases than the movie but in this case it sounds both are enjoyable.
