Good Morning America Interview- 08/02/2011- Discussion

Seems like their relationship has already grown and matured.

ETA-- glad to hear that he and sis seem to have really put things behind them.
Interesting that he said that it was really in HK that he felt things changed for him. Last night on JK, he said that he could tell a difference in how she kissed him in Phuket.

That GMA recap of the season was very, very good in a "cliff notes" sort of way. In two minutes, they managed to include a bit of Bentley, their first 1 on 1 at her place, Ben's rejection and other stuff that made the recaps on the actual show lumbering by comparison.

We need to compare these appearances with others like Jason/Molly, Aliberto and the ones that didn't last like Deanna/Jesse, Bremily, etc. Body language looks good to me. They actually look completely relaxed with each other.

I really don't get this impression at all. I think they both want to settle down and be happy together and then plan for a wedding. Their relationship seems to be a lot like Ali's- they know it's permanent and no one is leaving and wedding planning is second to life planning and relationship building. JMO.

I agree Alanna. I think they have a plan, and they both seem happy with that. Next fall is really only about a year from now, which gives them more than enough time to get settled into their new life together. And if they wait until next November, ABC can air their wedding during a sweeps month, LOL!

They are being wishy washy about the wedding stuff. I just think he is in more of a hurry than she is... not that waiting a year is anything like a "hurry".

They have alot to do, her school, moving, getting a place together to live, etc. So no way they can set a date yet. They both said late next year, and JP said this morning, late fall next year, they are on the same page on this, and not "wishy-washy" at all. Fall is actually Sept, Oct, Nov, ~ so they are both right. Agree, Alanna.

Yes, I thought it was interesting when JP said on HK that in Phuket it was the first time that Ashley really
kissed him back. JP is was so in tune to Ashley, he could tell the difference in her kiss!

GMA was short, but oh, so sweet! :awesome:

While the wedding question is always one of the first questions on these interviews, I imagine it is not on the forefront of their minds right now. They probably want to be a real couple, build their relationship, factor school/work into their relationship, etc and are just trying to answer the wedding question as diplomatically as possible. Personally, I do not read too much into the wedding question. I think both are in agreement that it WILL happen, and that is the most important piece at this point. Aliberto have changed their tune about the wedding timing numerous times, but they will probably get married soon. BTW, I LOVE that I am "working" from home today and just saw them on GMA! They are definitely relaxed with one another. No kissee, though

Yeah, I remember he told his family that things started getting really real for them some time between Phuket and Hong Kong.

JP and Ashley are very reminiscent of Roberto and Ali. JP and Roberto defer to their women when interviewed and are the calmer half of the couple. Bodes well for JP and Ashley, I think. This guy truly loves Ash.
