Re: Alicia Cowan - Bachelor New Zealand - Season 2
Alicia reveals why she couldn't put Jordan first
Animal-lover Alicia Cowan left the Hawaii mansion last night without a rose, but insists she has a'ole mihi. That means "no regrets", in the local Hawaiian dialect. In fact, she got the phrase tattooed on her upper arm before flying home to New Zealand as a memento.
While the 27-year-old from Te Awamutu was painted as the oddball on the show, with a collection of 20 rescue animals that was described by one as “eccentric” - and that was being kin - the office file manager portrays a less kooky personality in person.
The Waikato woman is articulate and intelligent, outside of The Bachelor's rolling cameras.
As to her elimination, Alicia says it didn’t come as a shock. “When you’ve got a gut feeling, you know,” she told Scout.
She chose not to approach Jordan at the cocktail party that saw her getting the boot, because, she says: “It was his turn to make the move if he wanted to, and obviously he didn’t.”
Settling back into life on her Te Awamutu farm, Alicia admits she couldn’t wait to get back to her family of 20 rescue animals, many of whom sleep on her bed at night.
She won’t part with any of them, and not even giving up space on the bed if the right guy came along.
That guy was not Jordan, but Alicia says the Bachelor does have a “connection” with multiple women on the show.
“It’s gonna be a really hard decision for him when it gets closer to the end,” she said, “because, yeah, I think he can fall for more than one person at once.”
Alicia, who turned 27 three days after Jordan rejecting her, said she hasn’t had much luck finding men in Te Awamutu, but she remains hopeful. Men with animal allergies need not apply.
As to the private letter and stuffed toy she gave Jordan as presents, Alicia has no regrets.
“I also gave him a little USB stick, which was a video of me introducing him to all of my rescue animals,” she told Scout.
“They’re very important to me and I wanted to make that clear from the start.” Alicia insisted her furry friends will always be a top priority in her life.

Re: Alicia Cowan - Bachelor New Zealand - Season 2
Watching Alicia & how sweet she comes across in this video is complete opposite of how she was portrayed on the show. She has really beautiful eyes.

@JUSTMEAMC
Thank you for all the links! Loved watching Alicia on the show and in her interviews. I had thought she would go much further but like @mercieme posted she seemed really sweet and sure to find love. Maybe if they do a Bachelorette show?

I'm not sure there's enough outgoing NZ men to warrant a Bachelorette show, but it would sure make for entertaining viewing!
