The new season of The Bachelor has reportedly finished filming, with the final rose ceremony taking place in Bali on Wednesday, and while our bodies are beyond ready to take it all in, it's fair to say that the producers don't want pesky paps to spoil any surprises.

Reports indicate that, after flying Richie Strahan and three hopeful bachelorettes to Indonesia on separate Air Asia flights, then spiriting them out of the terminal through a special Bachelor-only exit, the show enlisted some military muscle to watch over them.

The cast and crew were put up at the Sofitel in Nusa Dua, and while there, where they were under guard by security as well as members of the Indonesian army, who are believed to have been employed to keep photographers way from the sacred handing-over of the final rose.

All helicopters on the island were "grounded for maintenance" at the time of filming, to keep anyone from getting any sneaky aerial action, however, it seems possible that someone still managed to sneak in.

Per reports in the Daily Telegraph, a paparazzi photographer approached host Osher Gunsberg soon after he touched down at home in Sydney yesterday, and surprised him by correctly identifying the name of the winner.

This has reportedly been a fairly hectic season all round, with paps flying drones over the show's Glenorie set to try and catch money shots,and the situation compared with "Gaza".

So yeah, paps of Australia, if you could go ahead and not spoil The Bachelor for us before it even airs, that'd be great.

RICHIE Strahan is on cloud nine.

The incoming Bachelor filmed the finale — and handed out his final rose — last week in Bali. And while he said he couldn’t be happier with where his televised journey has taken him, there’s one thing dampening his excitement — that the identity of his new love may be leaked before the show hits screens in coming months.

With cameras having followed the final three’s every move despite intense security detailing, it was reported over the weekend that the identity of the winner has been discovered.

Now fans — and Strahan himself — hope that her name remains a secret so they can enjoy the show spoiler-free.

“Everybody worked so hard to create something and it’s an amazing journey,” Strahan said.

“It’s such an adventure and people get invested. It’s like when you watch Game of Thrones every week and you’re biting at the bit to see the next episode. And for someone to spoil that? You’re like, ‘No! Why? I wanted to see it.”

The intense interest in the show while it has been taping came as a surprise to Strahan. And that’s despite having already been through The Bachelorette as a contestant.

“With The Bachelorette, towards the end we were all in and out of cars which felt very spy-ish,” he laughed. “But when you think about being overseas and getting into cars with umbrellas just in case ... It’s been absolutely crazy.”

For his part, Strahan said he’s planning to keep his end of the privacy bargain even among his most trusted inner circle.

Having told his friends in advance how his time on The Bachelorette came to an end, he said this time he’ll tell nobody the details of the outcome.

“It’s all about the surprise,” he said.

“(But) I’m definitely happy. This has been such an unreal, crazy rollercoaster ride and I’ve loved every moment of it.”

...if we're lucky, and if Sam's theory is correct, and if the show's producers have deep pockets – we may not see any spoilers this season at all.

"If the publications don't want them, or don't want to spoil it for their audience, well guess what, there is a certain company that would want to shut that shing down," said Sam – and yes, she really did say 'shing'. "The production company. They would pay a lot of money to get those shots, so they own the shots, so no one can ever see them. I've got absolutely no idea, but I think that's the likely choice."

Then again, maybe said paparazzi are simply waiting for the audience's emotional investment to jack up the price of said photos.

So we may get spoilers, we may not. Either way, if anyone can sort our a Bachelor spoiler blocker Chrome extension before the show starts (date tbd), that'd be just swell.

Bachelor Richie has found love on The Bachelor!

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Australia’s fourth Bachelor Richie Strahan confirmed the news that he had indeed found love on the popular dating show.

“I’m definitely happy,” the 30-year-old hunk began. “This has been such an unreal, crazy rollercoaster ride and I’ve loved every moment of it.”

As the down-to-earth rope technician confirms that he handed out his final rose whilst shooting in Bali last week, hearts collectively break across the country for the loss of undoubtedly one of Australia’s best catches.

The next Bachelor says he’s not nervous as Channel Ten ramps up promo’s ahead of the launch of the much hyped reality series next month.

“I’ve got nothing to hide,” the 31-year-old said. “There’s no bad sides. I just want to be myself, have an incredible journey and hopefully Australia will enjoy watching it.”

Blake Garvey was left red faced after his Bachelor series launched when it was revealed he had worked as a stripper before going into real estate.

“I’m just a regular guy, a regular Aussie bloke, there’s nothing there,” Strahan said.

Fans of the format got to know Strahan as a contestant vying for Sam Frost’s affections on the last season of The Bachelorette.

While he didn’t find love, producers recognised his appeal and cast him as The Bachelor, opting for a James Bond theme for the first run of promo ads for the series that will premiere next month.

“It is a very personal thing,” he said of dating, adding: “People are going to judge no matter what you do in life but at the end of the day I’m from good stock so if someone comes at me with bad comments, that is their prerogative.”

Strahan’s new life in the public eye is a long way from his day to day job on oil rigs out of Perth.

“It can be quite hard with my profession to meet someone,” he said. “Flying in and flying out for work, the things I do lifestyle wise don’t allow for a lot of female company. I want all the good stuff, a girl who is going to be passionate, someone fiery who is going to challenge me, someone who isn’t boring because I don’t think I’m boring so it is about someone who is going to be my equal and push my boundaries as much as I push hers.”

Filming has already wrapped on the season with Ten going to great lengths to ensure spoilers don’t get out.

Strahan wouldn’t divulge much detail of the upcoming series, where women compete for his attention each week, other than that he is hopeful of finding the right person.

“I hope I fall in love and spend the rest of my life with her,” he said. “I want to give every moment of this my full attention.”

Don’t bother asking Richie Strahan if he found true love on The Bachelor Australia.

“Not even Houdini could get into this vault,” Strahan joked to AAA yesterday when he was back home in Perth for the first time since filming started on the reality-TV soulmate search three months ago.

His face will be one of the most recognised in the country when The Bachelor Australia season four premieres next month.

But it’s clear the 31-year-old, who was a contestant on The Bachelorette last year, has not lost his cheeky, self-deprecating sense of humour.

He teased: “How are we keeping what happens on the show secret? “Well, it’s easy — all we’ve done is hire the FBI and the CIA. It was expensive for Channel 10 but we got there after a few months of negotiations. I’ve done interrogation training, incognito camouflage techniques and I’m even being trained as a black-ops specialist.”

Jokes aside, whether Strahan found his happy ever after has been so hotly anticipated that the show’s producers reportedly had to call on the Indonesian military to stave off paparazzi while filming the finale episode earlier this month.

But back in Perth, it is a completely different story.

“One of the best things about coming home is that no one cares,” he laughed. “People are really good and so supportive; they come and say g’day, which I’ve always liked.

“I was used to sitting at the pub and having a beer and no one bothering me but (once the show starts) it might be a little bit different.”

When the first episode finally airs, Strahan said he would be “a little bit terrified” by what his jokester friends and family had up their sleeves.

“Last year for The Bachelorette we used to have Bach nights,” he said. “It’s quite funny; I am a guy in his 30s and I had all my adult friends over and it was almost like we were 16 again.

“Honestly, I have no idea what’s going to happen this time around. I’m not even kidding; last year my family made up life-size face masks of my head.”

Even with a harem of beautiful women vying for his attention on national television, Strahan said his friends “couldn’t help” but give him constant grief.

“I feel like I am the bag to all their punches,” he said. “The teasing has basically been non-stop since The Bachelorette — and even before then.”

The first-look promo of The Bachelor Australia season four will premiere after The Project tonight.

Strahan said filming the promo was “one of the funnest days” of his life.

“Channel 10 approached me and said ‘How would you describe yourself?’ and I said ‘Well, probably a little big high octane,” he said.

“They called me up a bit later and were talking about green screens, motorbikes, helicopters. I was really stoked.”
