The Bachelor 20 - Ben Higgins - Episode 8 - HTD - Discussion - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

I just watched the preview in slo-mo. It doesn't look like a happy goodbye between Ben and Jojo. He's not even in the car and she's walking away. I think the HTD doesn't go well but ate the RC, they straighten things out and he gives her a rose. At Lauren's HTD, Ben says he feels invited and welcomed. Remembering the order of filming where Jojo's is filmed before Lauren, I think it sticks in his mind how he didn't feel welcomed at Jojo's imo. I think this also plays into Ben's ultimate decision because he knows you marry the girl, you marry the family.

Do you think Ben will ask all 3 fathers to marry their daughters? Maybe just Lauren and Jojo? Lauren and Caila? All F3!

He probably asks all three who knows what will be shown.

I like to think he doesn't ask any. I only say this because Ben seems like a genuine person and asking a father for his daughter's hand in marriage is a major, usually a once in a life time thing for dads. Knowing this, and knowing he isn't going to ask all four girls to marry him makes me think he will wait to ask the F1's father at a later date. He could ask Lauren's only but they may choose not to show it.

Who knows though. I've been wrong before. Lol

It could be her parents. I don't know though....asking over the phone? I don't know when he would have a chance to ask otherwise though.

He could have asked at hometown but they didn't give their consent bc there are 3 other woman and told him when he was sure she was the one they would give their consent.

I think during the filming process if TPTB need that to be asked, whether or not he is feeling it or knows the lady in question is feeling it, he will ask it.  Not every thing filmed and shown is genuine from the heart.
That sneak peek above--not scripted much. Flowers arrived right before Ben and in a vase, no less. LOL

That entire preview just seemed so contrived. Jojo's tears even felt fake to me. Hmm..will be interesting to watch it play out tonight.

Do they usually show the F1's hometown last?

Hopefully they explain that the planned date for that day was canceled due to weather. Otherwise people will be left wondering why Ben had to meet her at home, unlike with the others.
