Becca Tilly - Bachelor 20 - #4 - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

Becca and Emily do have a lot in common. I was watching some interviews of Emily last night and in one of them she said she decided to remain celibate before marrying her husband.

That's really interesting - it must be because of Tyler's beliefs. He's an elder at their church, so he's super religious and it makes sense that he would want to engage only in marital sex. I've always been a bit suspicious of how religious Emily herself really is (I kind of see her as a "Catherine"), but it seems like he did have a big impact on her. IMO.

Me too. I have no response to the explanation of why Emily influenced Becca to do the show. Now I read this.

I don't know why that's so weird. Catherine talked about sex toys in her bachelor audition and remained celibate before marrying Sean. People change sometimes, especially when they're in love. JMO.

She remained celibate cuz Sean was a born again Virgin

True - but I think Catherine did it out of respect for Sean who was resolute about remaining celebrate until marriage. Given Emily's past I think it was for the same reason - out of respect for her soon-to-be husband. I am speechless that she seems to claim it's her idea; she would not have Ricki if she had made that commitment sooner.

Tyler might be the same, since he's an elder at their church. That's my point. Emily, like cat, obviously had sex with her previous fiancé's/boyfriends, but it makes sense she would abstain if that's what Tyler wanted. IMO.

I am suspicious of it being her idea (I think it was Tyler's), but in her defense, she has said that she only developed a strong relationship with God after her breakup with Jef. IMO.

It may not be weird to some people, but it's very weird to me. I applaud those who save themselves for marriage, but when you've been around the block a few times, then suddenly decide to abstain until marriage, that's strange to me. In this case it's weird to me because Emily was not as innocent as portrayed on her season and prior to.

It's backwards to me, you finally meet the man of your dreams, and now you're going to wait to make love, which to me is what it's called. AMHO

Becca has chosen her path .. I can respect that

Now Becca, I totally respect. That's her choice and I commend her for making that very personal choice, and not being pressured into today's society.
