The Bachelor 20 - Ben Higgins - Episode 5 - Discussion - *Sleuthing - Spoilers*

Agreed. A lot of voice over video- or Ben's back shown when we hear the words that cast doubt. Never forget they're making a TV show and will slice and splice until they get it. And have us watch promos to make us believe it before the episode.

IA.. but he did tell his parents he was in love with both, so it's not all splicing and dicing. Not great no matter who the F1 is. I hope he didn't propose.. but it's the Bachelor, so oh course he did.

I just watched the episode. IMO it's becoming clear that it's LaurenB, and everyone is seeing it. He acts like she's the lead and he's making an effort to show her he's invested in her. He seemed to make his own plans to take her for a walk.

As for anything else, I didn't like the episode. It felt like a competition to stroke Ben's ego, Jubilee failed to do it with a smile on her face, so she got sent home. I didn't like how he handled the situation with her. She clearly said she felt uncomfortable having to see him PDA with other girls, and not have any time with him herself, and he chastised her for basically making him look bad in front of the other girls. And then the group mourning after he dumped Jubilee.

Amanda throwing her ex under the bus in such a detail was not cool. On bach australia there was a single divorced mom (Snez <3), whose ex had done some bad bad stuff, but she never mentioned it on the show, or after it.

As for the previews, meh. Ben is a nice guy, but he's the perfect bach puppet. TPBP tell him to create drama, he will create drama. Also, he's all over every girl he talks to each episode, all the ladies saw his PDA with everyone. If Lauren could get through that, she'll handle all the other drama well too. Isn't this what people wanted, and not a clear cut season?

That "I don't want to say goodbye, cuz that's how much I love her", could very well be about the F1 imo
eta: Although I'm not entirely sold that the first half of that was said at the same time as the second.

He told his parents he loved them both....which to me is different than being in love.

Good example with Snez!

Every now and then, I think Ben acts quite inexperienced with girls. At times, he's like a middle school boy surrounded by these gorgeous girls and so for that reason, it's not so far fetched for me to believe he fell for more than one. I know the previews can be misleading, so I'll wait and see, but they weren't all VO's.

Pretty much why I didn't like Ben this episode. I thought Jubilee was justified in her feelings and I hated when she groveled to him. His mind is already made up with Lauren B. 

This episode I mean

The good: Hardly any Becca! Bless.
Lauren B. & Ben's chemistry wow they sure aren't hiding it!

The bad: Olivia of course! I just wanted to strangle her through my tv! Ugh she's worse then Tierra & Kelsie Poe!! Thank goodness she's leaving next week! (I think!) I can't believe I liked her at first when reading her bio pre-season.
