The Bachelor 20 - Ben Higgins - NO SPOILERS - Discussion

The girls are so pissed about the massage! Hmmm.. What they don't get is that he's feeling down and probably not feeling that great and she's just trying to make him feel better. It's nothing to do with getting a rose.

Amber - she's not flaunting her rose! Stop being bitchy!

Amber's not being nice - they are ganging up on Jubilee. What is their problem?!?!? Are they jealous?

Oh - I like how Ben is standing up for Jubliee. Bet he's pissed he gave Amber the rose. He can't eliminate her now.

Good decision Lace! He didn't give any fight so I think she was probably going home tonight anyway.

Ok - so 3 girls were going home tonight. I got it right with Lace and the Russian but there was Jamie as well. Didn't see much of her - I never thought she was a contender.

Why are these girls crying? Why are they surprised that they are eliminated? He's got to get down to one , ladies!!!!!

Olivia is reading way too much into things. She's either going to go all the way, which I doubt, or be completely blindsided. Looks  like she's going to be a little crazy next week.

Oh - I love that out take at the end with Lauren and Ben in the spa. hilarious! They remind me so much of Art and Matty. It's so important to be able to see the funny side of things and have a shared humour.

I was not impressed with the mean girl posse and loved Lauren's date with Ben.

She's my top contender now but I am looking forward to Beccas and JoJos 1on1 dates. I saw that Becca had one but did JoJo?

late in posting, life got busy.
First thing that stands out is... How many times can the "like" be injected into a sentence? I'd hate to see how many times it would be used in a paragraph. Is there such a thing as word abuse?

The girls' observances of Olivia were as mean girl as she is, but it validated the first impression of her. She lives in the the world of Olivia-blivion that is so self absorbed. When she could have shown concern and scored points, she made it all about HER. Her "eyes on the prize" is going to see the "prize" waving goodbye to her as she's driven away. During which she will have a hysterical melt down.

Very disappointed in Caila's over the top crying and then catty comments of Ben being stuck " in the box in the sky" with Jubilee. My guess is she may very well be the next Bachelorette.

The date with Lauren B was cute, sweet, kind of a high school vibe. I like her, but still think her bio comments regarding being meant to be a Southern CA girl,is troubling.

The group date was revealing on many levels. We definitely saw Jami's cattiness through out the whole episode. The tattle tale, causing more trouble then needed was a producers dream. Glad Ben sent her home. As soon as she revealed to Ben that she was a friend of Kaitlyn's red flags went up. ( Sorry Kaitlyn fans, but this poster was not impressed with anything about her season except for Ben.)

Jubilee revealed vulnerability that was unexpected. I loved seeing the encouragement and manliness Ben had. Standing up for her when the other girls were taking offense was definitely showing his true character. He will make an excellent husband. When he was feeling stressed, Jubilee did the right thing to give the massage, though it was attacked by the others. It showed more of her depth. I think she's going to continue to have a target on her back, because the other girls are too shallow to understand.

Amber should have taken a different course of action, though not sure what that could have been. These girls just need to take a chill pill.

Amanda stepping in to be motherly was kind hearted and genuine. Made me like her more.

Last and definitely not least was Lace's decision to leave. Now THAT was being mature and taking responsibility. I did not record the live show afterward, so if someone could fill me in on what she said there, I'd appreciate it

All in all I really liked this episode. It showed us a lot about Ben and the potential he has to eclipse any other Bach. I just hope it works out for him.

^^^When Lace was on the after she basically talked about how she is still working on herself, particularly the drinking. Watching back she was embarrassed by how she behaved. She is working on her career...I can't even remember what that is. Said she wouldn't go back on the Bachelor again as a returnee because having been there (with Becca and Amber), she doesn't think that is fair to the new girls. Of course, CH extended an invitation to BIP and she kind of said no, but kind of fudged it when he did it again.

Overall, Lace came across as much more normal and more sympathetic than on the show.
