This is where I need help.. Not sure who the other man is in the group picture.  

Trying  to find a picture on Instagram to see if it's the same man. I remember seeing a picture a gentleman posted of Ben and Lauren on the couch at the whiskey bar and  thanking Lauren for allowing him to be part of the  date and Lauren responding to it but can't find it.

Could it be Andrew Kimmell?

IMO Ben probably felt OK about making that promise, but at the time he made it I think he believed he could keep it. I think he believed that he would be able to dump her (or anyone else for that matter) if / when he decided to without having to lead her or anyone else on so long and so far that they would be blindsided. Sending Jubilee home as and when he did, like sending Leah home and sending Olivia home (and to an extent Becca) and sending Caila home were all done as soon as he had clarity that he would not pick them and had an opportunity.

IMO this might have been one of Ben's "agreements" with the show before he signed on to be lead - that he would be able make decisions and send people home without making them "spin their wheels" as he was made to on Kaitlyn's season. What I think he didn't know is that the show was perfectly fine lying to him and renigging on that or any other agreement (IMO they do this all the time). So while he was able to do what he wanted when he wanted to for much of the season, at the very end he was put in a position where he couldn't and he didn't see that coming.

JoJo never asked Ben to "promise" her anything. She just asked him to keep her in the loop. He was the one who said the word "promise", not once, but twice. :shocked!: As I mentioned in another thread, the word promise carries great weight for me. I'm afraid Ben's halo is going to be dull and tarnished when all is said and done.

They usually get out of whatever vehicle they came in and CH is nearby .. He only walks them partway .. Says good luck and then he leaves them to complete the journey to the FRC podium alone

And JoJo knew very well Ben most likely couldn't keep her in the loop. TPBP want the dumpers to be surprised, shocked and hurt. Holly from bachelor pad wasn't allowed to tell her ex she'd gotten engaged to Blake, and IMO tbh it was none of the ex's business anyway.

Ben never wanted the halo, he freely admits to not being perfect.

^^ They have been touting him as "Perfect Ben" all season. They are setting him up for the fall. Jmo.
