Bachelor Franchise - Random Sleuthing - Discussion

He ruined a bit of the show for me. I loved sleuthing back in the day and it was so exciting not knowing if we were right or not. It's not that we believe everything he says but it's hard not to hear who he says won and that does influence how you think even when you don't believe it does. I also don't like that the winner becomes a fan favorite pre-season based on practically nothing. I think back to Jef in Emily's season who didn't even register on my unspoiled self (for the first few episodes) other than the number of avatars with his face on it. That's just an example, he and many other cast members would have likely become a favorite later anyway.

I heard that it was Megan the lacrosse coach (had to look her up) who was the one who spoiled Jason's season although never knew how she could know what happened at the end. Good for RS if he can make a living at it. I know where he lives in Frisco and it's a very modest looking house so he's not living above his means at least. I just choose not to help him make money. I'd be perfectly happy if he found another line of work but someone else would probably step in.

I remember that Megan did an talk interview with RS back then and I thought I remember her saying that she didn't know about the switch and most of the girls hadn't. It's been awhile, though, so I might be wrong. I do remember her saying she disliked Molly, because she kept to herself and thought she even might be a "spy" (like on Jesse's season) and that she loved Melissa.

So sad that is the second sucide from that one season .

I just saw the news on FB about Lex. I remember when she met Jake, she said "If you let me fly your plane, I'll let you drive my Harley." So sad. Two Bach contestants gone too soon.

I think that has been proven false now.

He was financed by Kidd Kradick for a longtime. Not sure what happened since his death.

I personally wonder if he isn't actually given his info via MF. He was so sure Kaitlyn was alone right until she snapped herself in bed with Shawn.

RS and his spoilers have increased interest in the show IMO.

Since I discovered his site, not long ago, I have a gut instinct that says someone from the network is bankrolling him and feeding him the info to keep the ratings.

I've been following RS for a long time. He's been sued twice by the network. He is not their friend. He gets his information from friends of contestants, previous contestants and fans of the show who are "in the know" I read somewhere he earns a comfortable six figure income from advertisers since his website gets millions of views each season. A couple of season ago he mentioned he had 1 million views in one day. His pop up ads are annoying. He also talks about how much he loves to gamble in Las Vegas. I wonder how much of his income he spends in casinos and betting on sporting events  JMO
