A lot of extracurricular activities like the Bachelor would come under the purview of her CO ( commanding officer ) If that person is willing to allow her to participate, then things get worked out. Depending on her rank, her NCO ( non commissioned officer and boss directly over her ) would work towards a temp filling of her slot for a specific amount of time.

I understand your point tKG's, however CH, as much as he is a liar liar pants on fire kind of guy, I have to agree with him. In that AOL video interview he said she caused her own elimination because of her behavior. He said she isn't ready to be the 'ette. As Kasha said, if they wanted someone, they'll make it work regardless of their employment type.

She's gorgeous and who can't like her for all that she's accomplished, but IMO she does have issues. I'm not sure what they are, insecurity, trust, IDK but the way she clinged to Ben and expected him to focus all his attention on her was just too strange, considering the format of this show. Throw in the snark and humour that I personally didn't find funny, I just don't think she would make for a great lead.

I personally cringe at the thought of what they would do to Jube. She's been through a lot and may have some unresolved issues from her deployment. JMO she needs to figure things out before she goes the route of TPTB hatchet job. She is gorgeous, and I think her story would be fascinating. Her humor I totally got, though she should have been reminded that perception of presentation is 9/10 of a conclusion.

I think it's going to be Caila.  And while she's the perfect "All American Girl", more importantly she is immediately visibly racially non-caucasian.

Two season ago we had the dynamic, educated and sophisticated Andi.  Then we had the bawdy, uneducated, slacker Kaitlyn.  I believe they need to get back to that girl any guy can see himself with.  She is sunshine and rainbows and cuteness all damn day.  And she has the hair.  To me, that's Caila.

I think she's very well spoken and does NOT insert the word "like" into every sentence 12 times.  And she is young, but she doesn't seem unfocused, immature or flighty to me.  Of course, it's all up to individual perception.

I believe the producers always pick who they want.  Because women will watch, hating or loving the lead.  Women will watch regardless.  Sure some men watch, but not the same numbers.  It only matters what combination of characters will compel the women to watch.  And I don't think it  matters what social media "says".

^^ I Disagree. I think JoJo is the kind of girl every guy wants. She's got and amazing personality, successful, smart, and gorgeous. I also think JoJo is more likable, and more women viewers could think of her like one of their friends. And they will have an easy time getting guys to fight over her. I honestly think at this point most of the guys are cast already, and just waiting to hear who the lead is. I think a lot will be disappointed if it's Caila, similar to what happened when guys wanted Emily over Ashley. JMO.

In my opinion, the difference in looks between Emily and Ashley were vastly different. Ashley was cute, but Emily was a real beauty. But I liked both of them & thought both were good Bachelorette's.

I'd very much like to see an article, poll or interview in which more than one guy admitted that he'd prefer Emily over Ashley (Bentley). It was a very dramatic situation though, so I may have missed all the other guys that agreed with him.

And while I do see JoJo as a physically lovely girl, I haven't seen all this personality being attributed to her. She's faded into the background to me since the beginning. Half the time I thought she was Becca or Amanda. She's been very generic for me thus far.
