IMO, neither Caila or Jubilee are mature enough to handle being the lead. Both need to make changes in themselves or their lives to be able to handle a show like this.

Lead the audience and public down a lane of hype and suspense until the first night of airing. It wouldn't be too hard--until spoilers start leaking, but even then they could do what TAR does, with filming foilers if they really want to screw with the public.

That would be cool! That's kind of what they did with Britt vs. Kaitlyn. Of course, the spoilers and pictures leaked the very next day, but many people still didn't know and they were able to keep up the fake suspense on tv. I could see them doing that again.

In the "olden days" when the leads weren't recycled, how were they announced?

No body on this show handles the show. TPTB handle the cast. It's a very rare cast person who gets one over on MF and Co. IMO Caila could easily do the show. So could JoJo. Jube would probably refuse it or would be smart to. Becca and Amanda imo would be crazy to do the show. It's in no one's best interest to do it, imo.

I apologize for double postings, but I personally think it would be cool, too. It would be close to the first few seasons where the cast is not aware of who the 'Ette would be and that could make it interesting for the audience. Plus, it would keep the public following on the edge of their seats waiting to see who will be the main.

I hate to compare but the International leads are not announced until premier night. Makes for great sleuthing.

I love that idea! It would be so fun if they could wait to reveal the next lead on the premiere. 

I'm not sure they'd do that because it would just give RS another chance for a spoiler. They could delay it a little longer though if they wanted to. I wonder if it depends on how they edit the finale and of course what happens on ATFR. I do think that if Jojo is portrayed as still being heartbroken at the ATFR then it will be less likely that she's the lead. I'm still leaning towards Caila getting it but we'll see.

I still think he's making the f2 thing into a bigger obstacle than it really is. They can just make the announcement on GMA the next morning or DWTS, like they did with Brad. I don't see them going for the least popular girl in the F5 over Jojo, but who knows? IMO.

I see your point, but IMO, Caila just isn't mature enough to handle the stress that will be put on her. Especially seeing how she's handled the last couple of weeks and she's not the lead. According to that interview with Harrison, he says that Jube isn't being considered as there'd have to be too many changes to get her ready. Then when asked about others, he went into how the show wants to maintain the format of the past seasons. I am tossed as to who would be best for it, but looking at ages and stuff like that, Becca is the oldest of the F6. Then for maturity reasons, I really think that Caila and Jube can't handle the stress. When you look at the F2 being JoJo and the F1 being Lauren(spoiled), there really aren't many available of the F6 to do it other than Amanda and Becca.

I don't think Caila is ready either. She has a hard enough time making sense while talking to one guy even though she has days to figure it out between talks. Can't imagine her trying to date 25 guys at once. She also reminds me of Andi in that she's daddy's little princess who's a perfectionist and grins like a cheshire cat. Andi devolved into an utter mess after being the lead and I can easily see that happening to Caila as well. Has she ever experienced failure or heartbreak? This show is not the place to experience your first hardships. Nope.

I bolded and italiced what is important for tptb. Jube is in the US Military Reserves.  If her company gets deployment orders, she leaves. She has a signed, sealed contract that is not going to be broken by an appearance on a tv show. I've been wondering how she worked it to be there in the first place. Reserve units are downsizing. If someone repeatedly does not show up for once a month drill weekends, or the required training missions, they get kicked out. My guess is that Jube meets retention standards and that is a reason to stay.
