That's just it. I don't think they really are friends with Ben. From what I saw at the after show, I think Shawn and Ben seem OK, if not really that palsy. It's Kaitlyn. Isn't it  always? Shawn and Ben hugged like a couple of bros, but it seemed as if Ben had to force himself with Kaitlyn. I think I know who wears the pants in that family and I'm not talking about Shawn. For whatever reason, she in particular, seems p*ssed with the show and that apparently includes watching it. Yes, they were not edited in the most flattering manner, but other people have gotten over that type of thing and continue to at least make nice and watch the show. They on the other hand, still continue to not do themselves any favours and seem even to refuse to support their "friend" Ben.

Kaitlyn is a child in a grown womans body that is why she is acting like it. She should be grateful if not for the show she would be an unknown.

Nor would she have met Shawn.

And the others watching the show keep snarking, forgetting they too made the same mistakes current contestants are making. I have no issues with them not watching it personally and I would rather people not watch than watch and make fun of the contestants, JMO. Ben and Kaitlyn don't have to be buddies, she doesn't have to come out of the show buddies with all the men, it makes the show fake( I know it is fake and highly scripted) but IRL, people tend not to be best buddies with their ex, why should this format be different, unless pple are just there to further their careers and not find love. JMO.
I still do not see the big deal about them not watching, if they were watching and commenting about the show, their comments will be torn apart here, basically, this two cannot win no matter what, I believe they wished Ben well at the beginning of the season and will wish him and his chosen one well when the show ends, JMO.

Just to add a different point of view to this, Ben has all the fans, attention and promotion he needs from many recent contestant, the network, his own social media, etc..  If Kaitlyn and Shawn don't care about the show, good for them IMO.  That doesn't mean they don't care about Ben's real life and haven't personally said a congrats and good luck with the new relationship to him privately - because they do have each other's actual phone numbers and are capable of speaking/texting without needing to do it publicly, like actual friends would do.  Lots of past Ettes plus most other recent contestants are very happy to talk about the show, keep their name out there, even many years later, so they have a claim to fame, not because they actually care anything about Ben.  If Kaitlyn and Shawn aren't interested in watching it, they shouldn't and it seems they aren't.  Not disrespectful to Ben in any way IMO, and in fact pretty cool to me.

They text and speak publicly 24/7. It doesn't take much to say Ben's doing a great job, we're proud of him, or whatever. This isn't about them TPTB and keeping their names out there, this is about supporting a friend. JMHO

I can't imagine not watching a TV show that my friend was on. I'd stay up all night if I had to so I could watch. How could he text phone him and support him if they haven't even watched. IMO they don't care.

I agree GA, they don't care about the show.  And I think that's fine .  And now off I'll go from this thread that I popped into accidentally ...

Nope they aren't busy that much . Prior to their latest mag interview KB said they haven't started anything yet. Nothing . Because they are terrible at planning .  I don't know if this is a bad excuses but again KB should say a better answer to it . jmo.

I mean, if they were looking to gain more followers (which I think they want as it's better for business) then tweeting about the show is the way to go. Past contestants and leads seem to gain more followers every season they live tweet. If nothing else, watching and tweeting is a good business decision.

If you are able to listen to that podcast when they asked Kaitlyn if she and Shawn are watching ben's season . She said no. And one of the hosts asked why not? If I am not mistaken she said "I don't know because my season is just finished and too early for us to watch something like this ". So yeah , not that a big deal and I don't care either just like them. You watch it or not . No problem .

I believe her season finished filming in May and finished airing in July, That is six months at the very least. I don't know, I just get a bitter vibe from her...not so much Shawn. Like some others have said, if nothing else, tweeting about the show is good business. Since Shawn is launching a new venture primarily due to the followers he acquired as a result of the show, one would think that tweeting about the show would make sense. The further away their season gets, the less relevant they will be. I'll be curious to see what she does when the next bette season starts.

I think way too much is being expected from K and EB(EmptyBox).
As far as K is concerned, so much liquor, so little time. Why multitask watching TB when there is no time to multitask wedding planning, unpacking, job search--anything outside of drink selection. As far as EB is concerned--I can't get into his mind thankfully.
